Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
We saw when Benteke came on the difference between Origi and a striker that really knows what he's doing, positionally the gap between them he's huge.
Has time on his time does Divock, but he needs to improve.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Benteke might have missed that sitter for which I cursed him for a whole 5 minutes but he showed more menace in the game then Origi has over two games.
Klopp has so much ****e in the first team I think this is going to take a few years to straighten out.
I would (over the course of a rebuild) get rid of every player that started today apart from Sakho and Can. Rest are ****e, in their approach and application.
"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley
I think Origi is decent and makes a lot of the right decisions on the pitch, but his finishing is letting him a bit down atm. But he get's in to space, connects well with the midfielders and works well off the ball.
But obviously finishing is what he's meassured on in the end!
Interesting to see how the general view on this forum has changed from us having a decent squad to having one full of crap/average players.
Yes, perspectives are volatile. I think we've got good players in most areas, we're just lacking quite badly in a few, and that cripples us somewhat. Henderson missing is a problem, but our CM is low quality compared to sides we want to compete with.
Milner, Allen, Lucas, Henderson and now Can is a very poor set of options comparatively. Can looks very promising but is still learning, we can't rely solely on him to give us drive and speed through the middle. Henderson is pretty meh, better than meh but not very inspiring. Lucas is past it, Milner is bang average and Allen is ****ing toilet. For me, CM is the priority position for us, although we could do with good cover in other areas too, particularly fullbacks. And Origi is worse than Ngog.

I don't think he does that at all. When he comes back for the ball he's decent, but his movement off the ball is poor, he doesn't make space for the attacking midfielders, he looks so easy to defend against. And his shooting hasn't been up to much either. Ngog looked better in his early games for us.

it is like we are a frankenstein team , all parts are there but no heart or drive from the middle.

I think that is very harsh on him, especially also considering he is enterily new to the team and with a new manager as well.
I don't think he's movement is poor at all, he just needs to find a rhytm with the players behind him. His shooting have been the major let down, but he does find space and gets opportunities in front of goal.
Not sure he's got what it takes long term, but the potential and attitude is there I think.
