Yeah I would agree with that mate. His positioning is terrible and it could be seen as hiding, something klopp must be addressing for sure. Maybe he is afraid to make mistakes, but im sure Klopp can help his confidence. I wonder if he was like this in France?

Maybe he's like this due to his last season in France? He was in the firing line and was criticised pretty much for a young player, he was in **** team setup in a **** way and was pretty high profile after the WC and the move to us.Originally posted by Abro100 View PostYeah I would agree with that mate. He was last year by all accounts.Originally posted by Abro100 View PostYeah I would agree with that mate. I wonder back to when Sterling played up top. Doesn't have the physical stature of Origi, but his movement was electric and when Rodgers played a half fit Sturridge up top over him we struggled massively.
I suppose movement can be taught, but it's a worry that he doesn't naturally show out. Michael Owen was always backing himself to score and that's someone you look at and knew that they could be a top player.
Origi isn't showing the natural instincts of a top striker and he's not showing the mental characteristics of a top player. Lot of work needed. Not impossible mind, but he'll have to put some serious work in. Maybe it just needs a fluke to go in off his knee.Forwards.......

I think the natural instincts and charavter is an important thing. He doesn't seem to put himself about either. Weather he can be taught remains to be seen. My brother in law was working by melwood the other month for a few months and said he is a monster in training though. I just can't see it myself although maybe after a goal he'll improve.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostHe was last year by all accounts.

Definitely trying to get behind a bit more, but also people were looking to him which hasn't always happened. I've said it elsewhere, but in games which were frustrating to watch we were taking pot shots when people, including Origi, were on for the pass.Originally posted by Fredo View PostHe always had that raw talent but today showed plenty of confidence and was making better runs than his previous games. Kept the ball very well.Forwards.......
