Hopefully this will be the start of his career for us, because so far he's been very average, today he looked a different player, hopefully this will give him a huge confidence boost and he can kick on.

Players like that at the time seemed few and far between but more memorable & exciting because of it. The Spurs side of Klinsmann, Dumitrescu & Popescu. Boro with Ravanelli, Emerson & Juninho. Average teams like City with Kinkladze & So'ton with Pahars. Wednesdaywith Di Canio & Carbone.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostHalcyon days of football when the Premier League started attracting exotic players from Italy and Germany.

Sometimes youngsters need to hear that. Scared that if they aren't winning games on their own immediately they'll be out the door. You can see why they're scared when you see fan comments, massive expectations at LFC.Originally posted by RedAndWhite View PostIn the post match interview it was interesting to hear Klopp say he has been telling both Origi and Ibe to keep it simple that they are young and have plenty of time to impress. Seems to be working for both.
I always say that it should be the big names winning us games on a regular basis & the youngsters dipped in & out. I said earlier this season that someone like Ibe should be a reserve and I meant in this context.
Kids aren't going to be at it every week like experienced players should be. They will have big dips, up & down. I like the situation Origi & Ibe are in. We have games to play for them to grow, but if they're off form we can take them away and put in another top player. Perfect.Forwards.......

Not just kids though, reckon Lovren and Can have benefited from his approach. One difference between the managers is that Rodgers didn't really rotate the squad, he sometimes kept it unchanged, has Klopp done that? When you have a big squad it can probably be a challenge to keep everyone hungry and on their toes, but if you don't rotate I think players can lose their head quickly.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostSometimes youngsters need to hear that.
