We're not city, we have to generate our own funds to survive. We sign players and make them better, we develop players and when they move on we get good fees to reinvest into the squad and that's how we compete in a totally uneven market. He has ****ed the club over for his personal financial gain. You might think that's fine and it's entitled to do it, from the outside perspective people can judge the situation like that, but inside the fan base, that perspective understandably doesn't wash. Ultimately, there's a good chance that it damages the team and it's prospects.

kinda my opinion as well. His financial gain (and RMs) > Liverpools. Fans aren't stupid. I don't like the way it has obviously been planned for ages as well - it's not like we offered him a 50p pay rise and he quit in a fit of pique.

Honestly I think the fans pay his wages and are entitled to boo him. They've sent their message and I doubt it will be as strong v Palace. He should be on the bus as well, as he has deserved it. Then he can do one.

Leaving today, stayed in St Julians, Cavalieri Art Hotel, was fine only booked it randomly at the last minute. Can't believe the carnage nightlife here just didn't expect it to be like ****ing Ibiza

Went to Sliema and Valletta too which were very nice.

Didn't get a chance unfortunately, was only there for a few days. Went to Sliema, Valettta, Gozo & Comino. I was told about Mdini alright by a guy that has been there a few times and it does looks amazing. My first time in Malta, Valetta is how I expected Malta to look, old worldly reminded me of Lisbon. St Julian's was a real let down aesthetically, random ugly apartments everywhere & the genuinely the most ridiculous amount of road works I've ever seen

Mdina (pronounced Madina, yes twinned with the famous Muslim city) is the entrance scene to Kings Landing in Got. They filmed it at that location.

Valletta and Comino were outstanding. I still remember the clear water and swimming comfortably in the middle of December!!!

Majority of the match going fanbase are different to the majority of fans too. He is far more to them than most with an opinion on here for example.

I said if anything, but we'll just disagree, Madrid are tapping up players to run down their contract to join them for free, to save them the transfer fee.

Which is good for them and bad for to other club. As it happens we lost a player probably valued at 80m. homegrown and vice-captain. It will not happen often to other clubs and it's a big financial blow having to replace a player with nothing.

And I just refuse to consider footballers slaves, on 300k a week and they can just refuse to move clubs and now they can run their contracts down too. A 300k a week which is effectively payed for by the supporters.

Compare it to the NBA where the franchise can trade players without their approval.
