As has been pointed out he's not as bad a defender as some like to think, but for the best part of the last couple of years he hasn't been busting a gut to get back, he has moved into the more hybrid role which has been more to accommodate him that for the benefit of the side, and to be honest I am not sure it has really worked out. He is a great passer and can start counter attacking in a way that most other players can't but I'm not sure that outweighs the changes we have had to make to accommodate him. To be honest I don't think he was worth the wages we offered him based on his performances the last couple of years.

I don't wish him any ill, he has been a good servant to the club, he has won 2 titles and everything you can win, not sure how Madrid will work out for him, personally I have my doubts but it's his call. He has made his decision knowing the likely consequences and IMO that decision means he won't be regarded as an LFC legend.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I’ve not really read through others reactions but for me I’m past caring about individuals at Liverpool and who comes in and who goes.

I support the team and don’t really worry about who is in that team. I don’t really have favourites I think I like them all as long as they aren’t dickheads and behave in ways I don’t like on the pitch. I will have an opinion on them but I can’t get attached or emotional about them. Too many players have come and gone and the worry about how will they be replaced is long gone.

I started supporting Liverpool at the end of the dominate period and saw a couple tittle wins but was too young to appreciate them and how hard they are to win. Having gone through all those ups and downs and false dawns and getting drawn in to players and managers I just can’t be bothered with it. No room in my life for that unnecessary stress. Just enjoy the games and want to see the team play good entertaining football and players representing the club in the right way. I don’t want to see some of the behaviour you see at other clubs and am happy Liverpool have for the most part been more sportsmanlike.

Good luck to Trent, I’ve enjoyed watching him play and got very frustrated with him too. He’s done it all at the club and nowadays I get the want to play in a different country and to experience different cultures. I get the frustration with how he’s done it but for me it’s just not worth thinking about. Time to move on and look forward to a new dimension to the team next season. The team goes on and will be better next year not because he’s gone but because that’s the trajectory at the moment.

I'm more excited by three things -

              1. How Bradley will progress
              2. Who we bring in as cover or for the first team
              3. Having Szoboszlai as our first choice freekick taker

His one-on-one defending is not that bad, but throughout his time he has had a tendency to switch off and get bollocked for it by Virgil. He has been frustrating as hell at times over the last couple of years when ambling back into position instead of sprinting and I’m not sure that intensity is something you can easily switch back on again.

By moving inside he has left Mo isolated whereas previously the two worked well together out wide. Bradley will do better in that regard but to replace Trent’s passing I have to wonder if Wharton would be a good option. If we can’t afford Wharton, dunno. Who is the next Pirlo?

Madrid trying to get TAA early, for the World Club Cup...offering us £1m (and obviously taking him off the wage book early too)....would you take it, or should we be arses and make them wait til the official transfer window, not this special WCC early doors one?

Would let him go early for a fee. Pointless keeping him even a few weeks longer when he will have no part in the team's future.

I would be playing Bradley at RB for the rest of the season just to see can he do a small run of games without an injury.

Maybe trent can offer us the 1mill from his 40mil paycheck if he wants to add a world cup title with madrid to his cabinet.
