Got to imagine there's been numerous meetings between Xabis representatives and Madrid where Madrid make it clear what players they will be bringing in this summer.

Really interested to see how this plays out for him at Madrid.
The half arsed defending will need to stop

Wonder if he regrets it when the new manager comes in and doesn't want him in the team

Absolutely
It’s a difficult one really - turning down Real Madrid is very hard thing to do, but he’s tarnished his legacy with the fans unquestionably.

I’m not gonna pine for a 26 year old multimillionaire who had it all but wanted more. No hard feelings but I don’t wish him any luck. We move on.

No surprise at all. Best of luck to him, we need something different in both fullback areas anyways

All players should be on 1 season contracts.
4 tiers of pay based on independent performance stats from the previous season determines which tier and salary.
In the summer you have a knockout competition of dizzy penalties which determines where you sit in line to pick a team, i.e. the overall winner gets to choose his team first.
Job done.Last edited by fabinho; 30-04-25, 01:48 PM.

If he has already signed an extension I don't see why he would wait to announce it. If it was done before the title was secured no reason not to announce it then, if he has signed an extension after the title was secured that's good news only reason not to announce it now would be he wants his 'moment' (like VVD and Salah) and thinks the title related stuff being put out overshadows that (but then he should have signed before the title was securedOriginally posted by Angryred View PostAh, with us...
). My feeling would be that an announcement is not being made because it is bad news and announcing it would be viewed as 'raining on the parade' If he is leaving it needs to be announced if he wants to have a 'goodbye', like I said above I think there will be an announcement that he has signed for Real Madrid sometime in the week after the Arsenal game.
Of course it could genuinely be the case than he hasn't decided yet but to me it seems unlikely this late on...
