Could not help myself. Just trying to make a point that generally some of us failed to support Roy but defend others. [I hated Roy from Day 1] and for some reason I thought of that hymn, must be xmas effect.

My mate is a fixed asset accountant and purely by chance has just emailed me lamenting Carroll and the money we wasted. Here's his take on whether the fee is relevant or not:

Not sure what point your mate's trying to make. He's obviously at the bottom of the accountancy tree if he's a fixed asset accountant!

HMRC rules, Company Law or other accounting conventions have no relevance to the discussion. All that matters is whether LFC get value for their investment. Maybe they're not yet but there's still time for it to pay off.

So with Suarez out for a while it`s time for Carroll to step up. Hopefully we`ll switch formation to suit him better.
Maybe a partnership with Kuyt would work. Not the fastest frontline in the world, but Kuyt is good at sniffing out the loose ball after Carrolls flick ons (and poor first touches).
