We've sorted the defensive unit, we should now quickly sort out the attacking unit. Three top players should do it, regardless of whether Andy stays or goes, he's irrelevant at the minute.

I have to agree, i don't think i'd be too bothered if we let the big man go, he just doesn't suit us or any team team for that matter, that want to play football. And he is not good enough to base a team or a style of play around.

In saying that, unless we get someone else in January with Suarez's 8 match ban coming up, can't see Carroll going anywhere.

Why not sign another striker in the window and loan him somewhere with the proviso he has to play if fit (say to Bolton, Wigan or Blackburn). Not sure if he'd go, but if he did and did ok, we'd have him back next summer ready to challenge for a place or sell him off for a larger fee than we'd get in Jan.

on rawk some guy has said that he turns up late for training, doesnt put a shift in and eats and drinks too much rubbish.

if its true then you can understand why hes not been performing and why he was drinking red bull on the bench. I think that episode in itself worried a lot of people simply because why would a highly tuned athelete need a caffeine boost before a game.

          its beyond belief.

higuain or llorente would both be good shouts. llorente is the player we thought andy carroll would be.

"If" this is the case, well then the sooner the better he is shipped out.

I did find it strange seeing him drink redbull, is that normal or irrelevant? Mind you, they do drink lucozade, must be normal.

I can't see the Americans being too impressed with a huge loss on a trophy signing after a year. Will be a big - against the reputations of DC and KD in their eyes I'm sure.

I think you spend too much time worrying about what americans will think. did you overdose on bonaza as a kid?

its not just abnormal but bizarre that carroll being a liverpool and england international thought it was ok to be drinking red bull on the bench.

its like a ferrari being run on chip shop waste oil its just not done. imo it says a lot about the professionalism and lack of discipline shown by the player.

that the club allowed it at all seems crazy.

Is it really that bad? There is some evidence that caffeine before sporting activity can have a beneficial effect. Obviously it looks bad (as shown by the reaction here) but that doesn't mean that it is anything to worry about.

Very droll. What the owners of the club think is probably quite significant.
