Did you actually read my posts mate? No one - not even the extremists are blaming the player himself for the fee- but as above for the 1,000,000th time, his arrival here wasnt in a financial vacuum & nor will FSG see it that way.

As for people writing him off, well FFS:

Fair enough in this case & my post that immediately followed wasnt in realation to these types of comments, but again it seems that any reasonable discussion of the value of the player is shunned due to some completely unreasonable people. Everything is black & white in this thread & anyone who tries to discuss the grey is ignored/lumped in with the nay-sayers.

The most people can do is simply say hes ****/not good enough etc...

IMO he has been showing signs of improvement in his general play - his finishing is still off - but whose isnt in our team

Yes he hasnt pulled up trees but hes not deserving of some of the tags (worst signing ever etc.....)

The biggest worry for me about Carroll is giving him the service he needs on a regular basis

Pretty sure this is the chap off tlw and is pretty reliable.
