The thing that worried my yesterday was his lack of movement, it was in such contrast to Suarez and Kuyt. With those two we had a very fluid attacking play and were able to create space, when Carroll cam on he didn't offer any kind of movement. Perhaps he is still injured or unfit and this is showing in his play.

Please don't realise good Kuyt is. It's easy to think that Carroll would have walked into team. Thought Kuyt was,behind Suarez our best player yesterday.

Our front 3 were infinitely better without Carroll. Yesterday was a joy to watch. The quick short passing, movement, imagination, the unexpected...

Like night and day. We're as good as any team without Carroll in the first 11.

He just ain't good enough. Even with raw young signings (ie Henderson) you can see a footballer in there and can see how they can improve etc.

With Carroll the raw materials are not there.

How is disaster-watch coming along?

Yesterday's game showed that our pass and move game has some fluidity that we just cannot produce with Carroll presently in the starting 11.

He'll have to increase his work rate tremendously and put in much more effort if he wants to regain his position in the first team.

Money well spent imo. A 6m net spend to get rid of a striker fit for the knackers yard and you still complaining.

Instead of celebrating we have one of the best forwards in the premiership who is easily worth a billion now, you concentrate on the 1 potential mistake, which lets face it....you have been known to make the odd snap stupid decision yourself

The rest of the signings have done well. Downing has been much better than most expected as has Henderson who will grow into one hell of a player. Enrique hs been superb. Adam the jury is still out because of his lack of athleticism which cannot be fixed (unlike fitness).

Carroll is a giant waste of money. You cannot justify it by saying we got him and Suarez in exchange for getting rid of Sulky pants. We had £35m to spend and because it didn't cost us it does not mean it is ok to waste it. We had a chance to buy a £35m striker and we blew it on a donkey.

And for playing lovely football we are indeed in parts. As for 3rd in the league its after three games (two of which we would have expected to win) so is meaningless.

But there are clearly still some glaring weaknesses in the team and we do not have the resources to catch up the Mancs teams within 3-5 years.

You were quick to write off Rafa during his first season, calling him the 'Spanish Eric Morecambe' (when you were Redheart). You wrote Kenny off saying he would be a disaster and now you are saying Caroll is dog food.


You just come across as a disrespectful attention seeker and nobody should take anything you say seriously.
