Thanjk you.

As good as Enrique has been in general he takes 1 or 2 touches too many when in the attacking 3rd.
Bellamy was also having a go at Enrique for delaying too long and choosing the wrong option.
I was at the Blackburn game, Carroll worked hard and was unlucky, he played well again last night.
Continuing to criticise him now is petty and is the usual blind agenda we saw with Lucas and even Henderson at the start of the season
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
He clearly could have hit the back stick as soon as he entered the box so to suggest he didn’t have time is ****ing rubbish
As he takes another touch his space is narrowed and he then has to thread a ball through the eye of the needle
Even if Carroll had moved to the near post the nearer Enrique gets to the byline the more he should look at cutting the ball back to Gerrard
As for Matts assertion that Carroll did what defenders want I don’t think thats true either
His first movement is away from Enrique taking defenders with him – this is when Enrique should hit him. The moment he gets to the byline the ball is back into the space where Gerrard is unoccupied. Gerrard is unoccupied because the defenders are watching Carroll on the back post. If Carroll had gone near post there would have been defenders nearer Gerrard
Enrique has been very good this season but his contribution in the final third hasn’t been great

Correct about Enrique. I think it has been a combination of all of what has been discussed to death re: our inefficiency this season. Poor finishing, poor final ball and lack of luck.

Yes he should have hung the ball up in the final shot
As soon as he takes his next touch he neutralises himself and any potential ball to Carroll
Thanks for proving this for me
There was no need to go to all this effort though
Carroll is so far back, not even in the box and even if Enrique wanted to cross to the back post Carroll would've never gotten there in time( plus he was covered).
Enrique had to wait few seconds longer to see if Carroll will open up and that didn't happen and yes he tried to thread the needle and did pick the wrong pass as Cabaye went into the box to help Coloccini, leaving Gerrard free on the edge of the box but servicing Carroll was the only thing on Enrique's mind.

But the area you want Carroll to run into is where Cabaye is going
So I dont buy your reasoning either
At option 1 he should hang the ball up to the back post, when he takes an extra touch he should cutback to Gerrard
Fact he does neither shows that his decision making isnt strong
I think you can criticise Carroll at times but not that one, at times you play the percentages. The first percentage ball is the back stick and taking the extra touch cuts those percentages drastically, the next percentage ball is the cutback and again he doesnt play that
Sorry nothing you can say will change that for me
Poor poor play by Enrique on this occasion
As I say in the final third his decision making hasnt been that great, other than that hes a great fullback

All game the delivery to Carroll was dreadful. Not getting in to this one particular scenario but he was working hard and barely a single ball was put in to the box that wasn't utter turd.
Was paying close attention to Carroll the whole match, he often hides behind defenders and has no movement (at least not the correct one) in the box, making it very hard for the players to find him. Hope he improves this. Could also be that he is not used to play with these players, and that he needs to learn when they put their crosses in. Let's hope he is not a slow learner.
He didn't have any real service, I thought he linked up quite well with some knock downs for others, but didn't really have a chance tonight.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
