And you'll waiting for a very long time. The service/ammunition Andy gets will always appear to be **** because the lad simply hasn't got a clue how to get on the end of crosses/passes.

But hey keep blaming the other 10 players if you want, doesn't bother me.

Its just ridiculous now. We don't need Carroll or Downing. I think they have been the biggest disappointments.

They need to be dropped because our style of play is suffering.

I have tried to get behind them and say they will come good but they just aren't suited to our team or pass and move philosophy.

I know there are good players in both of them but they just aren't Top 4 players. If we want to be Top 4 we need better.

We played better towards the second half of the season under Kenny last year.

It doesn't matter that Carroll played well in parts tonight or that he wasn't getting the service.

We play better when Carroll is not on the pitch. He changes our whole style of play.

It's not about Carroll being a good or bad player anymore he is just not right for LFC imo.

The constant stream of floated crosses into the box is not getting us goals. We have far more chances as a team when Carroll is not around because we have more fluid movement, creativity and innovation.

Thought he dud pretty well the other night but was disappointing again tonight. Pricetag regardless, we need our main striker to be more than a pretty useful player who can contribute knockdowns.

I know he was outnumbered and isolated a lot tonight but he just doesn't dominate defenders aerially as you'd expect in general.
              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

We aren't set up to play to his strengths, neither Downing or Kuyt could get to the end line to cross the ball. He's been badly managed in that we don't get the ball to him the way he needs it. We knew exactly what we were getting when we signed him, we either play to his strengths or get rid of him, you can't fashion another player out of andy carroll no mater how hard you try, he is what he is.

His confidence is shot, he's feeding of scraps in the balls we put into him. He got a sniff against Newcastle when Gerrard started supplying him and he looked interested for once.

Question is, SHOULD we be set up to play to his strengths. He'll probably always be that old fashioned centre forward, ill-suited to a possession based game. His first touch is just so, so poor. We risk conceding possession every time the ball is played to him (more so than any of our other players). I'd much rather see us play with a front man who is more of an all rounder and who can hit the back of the net playing in a variety of systems.

                    No its not

Adam did it at Blackpool who the players he had playing upfront for him then

Joey Barton did it for Carroll last season

Gerrard did it against Newcastle the other week

Well considering we paid 35m for him, we SHOULD try it out for a few games and see what we have because carrying on with him the way we play now is just pointless. I too would like a different type of forward but we ain't got one at the moment.

Your final paragraph is perhaps the most pertinent

Just pumping the ball into the box will achieve nothing

Put the ball in like Gerrard did last week and you might get better results

We created plenty of chances against Newcastle for Carroll when Gerrard came on

Admittedly he didnt put them away but that is the type of service you need to put in

And people like you will always be blaiming Carroll whilst excusing others

For all the love-in with Suarez hes still got a ****ing ****e return in front of goal

So do we play fancy tippy-tappy football that creates chances that we still miss

Or do we play football that creates chances for a big lump of a centre-forward to miss

Neither in my book but the fact is the big lump of a centre-forward got nowhere near even half decent delivery tonight

I understand Carroll needs pinpoint service, but surely we need more from him, it's ridiculous.

                              We do

                              Look at the Downing chance

That came through a ball to Carroll laid back and then put through by Henderson (again)

I wouldnt argue that he cant do more

My argument is that today he got no kind of reasonable service

Anyone suggesting he got cross after excellent cross put into him today is ****ing deluded

The only one for me was the Enrique ball which he knocked down for Kuyt

A pinpoint cross onto Carroll's head or he'll get out-jumped by the mighty Gaƫl Clichy.
