    Baffling signing. Bench again today.

    Comment

It's a bad signing mainly because the manager has no idea how to use him.

Seems the manager doesn't know how to use a few of them

the best game he's had for a while... might as well chuck him on, though

Carroll has been a putrid signing, no excuses.

That header. 3 yards out, good height... just straight at the keeper, no punch, drive, andgle anything. I'd put it equally on a par with Kuyt's miss, a player like Carroll should at least have made Given pull off a real save there. That sort of chance has to be his bread & butter.

Read in hedline form that according to the daily mirror we are ready to sell Carroll in the summer, on a slow network, so can't be arsed looking up the whole article...

Andy Carroll is set to leave Liverpool this summer.

The £35million flop came on for the closing 25 minutes of *Liverpool’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday.

Last Sunday, on his return to Newcastle, Carroll *delivered a torrent of abuse as he stormed straight down the tunnel after being subbed.

Manager Kenny *Dalglish has *insisted that *reaction has been dealt with.

But an Anfield insider revealed: “Kenny has gone out of his way to protect Carroll from criticism. He’s straight with his staff, but many people here are concerned that players like Andy have not adapted to the Liverpool way.”

Carroll has told friends he’d welcome a return to *Tyneside but his current wages would break Newcastle's pay scale and they would only be interested in a cut-price *summer deal.

                      Meh, that wasn't much

                      Thanks for posting though

Article is just saying what most are thinking..............thought Newcastle would be a safe bet for a quick return, but they'll obviously want a very good deal seeing as how he's not exactly essential for them at the moment. So its not as certain as it was beforehand IMO...........he must have loved the reaction from Toon fans as well last week, although they're a fickle bunch who'd welcome him back.

Gonna be a big loss on this one folks.........best we can hope for is a lowish return with some addons for goals/appearances.

why would newcastle take him back though? they have proved very astute in the transfer market and showed value out there.

I would be surprised if anyone went over 10million to be honest and cant see any clubs biting at that...Villa, Sunderland, West Ham or Birmingham if promoted are our best hopes probably.

He'd probably do well at Everton.

You just know that a Bent, Carroll swap story is going to take up most of June.

Can't see him going to Sunderland because of his Geordie roots, Everton wouldn't be able to afford him, Stoke would probably get the best out of him. A newly promoted team would be a good shout and would suit a Fat Sam team.
