Regarding Andy Carroll.
I have been thinking this for quite a while since watching him play and without a shadow of a doubt he reminds more of one player from the recent past than any other. Similar physique, style, strength, not the fastest, holds the ball up well, menacing in the air.
That player...................... Duncan Ferguson

, you can see why he was a hero to all Evertonians.
Talk about a tough *******
Now there was a proper hard *******, total ****ing loon too.
Used to work with an Everton fan and he had a picture of Ferguson on his desk grabbing Steffan Freund by the neck....what a picture!

I am sure some junkie attacked him with a smashed bottle having broken into his house and Ferguson smacked him in the face leaving the guy hospitalised for 2 days...Originally posted by Shaggy View PostLoved that story when he kicked those burglars heads in

I quite rated Duncan Ferguson as a player, you can guarantee no defender liked playing against him and as I mentioned I think he is the player Andy Carroll most resembles.Modifying post.

i went to uni in dundee and ferguson used to play for dundee united. there were tons of incidents that didnt get reported regarding his off pitch antics and the only reason i found out was because one of my mates was the bar manager at belushis and the other ran the door at de stihls night club.
he was known as a total nutcase and was always getting into fights and bother. he was also a complete pisshead but they all said he was ****ing hard - he even pasted a few of the bouncers.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
