I reckon he'll do much better without his pony tail. He reminds me of Darren Peacock.

It could that his job is to head it back in front of goal. This is often difficult to defend against, espesially if our players know whats coming. LFC players will line up to attack the ball headed back from Carroll while the defenders has to turn back, and then try to stop the attackers.Originally posted by dww View PostI think he will but I'm not sure how easy he will be to fit into a really good side (i.e. one challenging for the title). At the minute I think we aren't doing the simple things to get him confident - for example the number of corners that he heads out around the back post and we aim for him there - why not have him running in to meet the ball in the centre? I'm sure there is some logic to it but I don't see it at all.Blank

I can see that as a possibility. However it seems a bit 'low odds' to me - it would be a great variation but as Shaggy says doing it every time doesn't seem to be a great idea.Originally posted by Resu View PostIt could that his job is to head it back in front of goal. Exactly my thinking. When Adam did that against Bolton Skrtel scored and I don't see reason why Carroll couldn't do the same.Originally posted by BringbackBiscan View PostWhatever happened to whipping the ball into the box and letting your big players attack the bloody thing? Complicated ****e for the sake of it.
I think we overcomplicate things and we would be more dangerous from set pieces if we just whip the ball in the 6-yard box and let Carroll go for it.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Do you thing we are working more at his all round game, trying to iron out his weaknesses so therefore taking a hit on his performances in the short term for a long term benefit, kind of like Lucas although more subtle, I think he was more adventurous when playing in Brazil but someone saw what he could become in a different role and worked on it and now we’re getting the rewards from itOriginally posted by Chris View PostGetting better and better.
Maybe some players need a bit of time?RIP IRWT

I thought he had a good game today, good to see him get a goal hopefully that will boost his confidence further. I thought him and Suarez linked up well. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Lucas and Crouch are good examples of taking time to bed in. Leiva was in everyones **** list for a couple of seasons, it took an extreme amount of confidence from the then manager to bring him through, regardless what fat Irish moaning *****rs said on radio Five Live.Originally posted by doogle View PostDo you thing we are working more at his all round game, trying to iron out his weaknesses so therefore taking a hit on his performances in the short term for a long term benefit, kind of like Lucas although more subtle, I think he was more adventurous when playing in Brazil but someone saw what he could become in a different role and worked on it and now we’re getting the rewards from it
