The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

                      In terms of playing position, both currently occupy the same spot. When Gerrard plays, Carroll is benched etc.

                                Pretty sure they play the same position and Carroll is usually on the bench when Stevie starts.
