Same logic would apply if we signed Bramble then?

Yep Craig is pointlessly arguing in this thread as well
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Bang average, relentlessly average and the epitome of average as I recall

        We'll see.

I suspect Dalglish was caught out by Suarez's matronymic - Diaz. It was very soon after he took charge and maybe he got confused by the hispanophone practice of using the matronymic as an appendix to the patronymic. It's easily done.

I became fixated with finding a player with X in his name... an X-man if you will, Kenny fckin hates that film.

I will also have to bow to your vast and superior knowledge of the relationship between the use of the matronymic as a surname in latin america as opposed to the patronymic. I would also move to agree that in this particular instance I can see why Dalglish was caught out.
          Modifying post.

Main thing is, is to just wait and see how he does, and not judge how he'll do for us based on what he has or has'nt done elsewhere, and as i say, it's as it should be, If only all those Chelsea fans had followed this one little rule they would'nt be so disappointed with Torres.

downing will be a class signing from game 1.

he adds the balance we've missed so like riera will transform the threat of the whole team by stretching the opposition. add to that the fact his track record shows him to be a better player than albert (consistency, goals scored) then I think he'll have an absolutely massive impact for us.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

From the little we have seen in pre season, Downing and Aquilani have been a step above the rest of the team.

They both should start for me against sunderland.

Downing seems to be an intelligent player on and off the ball.

                            Downing V Valencia.

Definitely the latter two, pretty sure I didn't/wouldn't say the former.

Aye we'll see. I'm already warming to him, and he's better than Babel and others we've had out there recently. Good luck to him.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
