We're serious Allen doubters in the 7 household but he was excellent today. Really hope he keeps up the good form and goes down as a Brendan success. I think the manager needs him to do well as much as he needs to do well for himself.

Best performance for close to 12 months today from Allen, who replaces Gerrard as I'm not sure Allen, Henderson and lucas enough between them to cover the loss

I like Allen, good to see him playing with a bit more confidence and authority after his injury. I think Rodgers has managed him well in giving him time to recover, easing him back into the team
