Sky are reporting that he is on the verge of joining West Ham. I'd sooner stay at Blackburn than go there, I mean what is the point when they look like relegation favourites? It's about professional pride, which he is sorely lacking if he wants to turn down a team third in the table, able to offer him CL football this year, and probably next year, to go to a team that could possibly be a Championship club next season, for the sake of a bit of extra cash.

Not the player for us IMO.
      Agreed

The lad is clearly a retard for considering West Ham. From being in favour of signing him, I now hope he goes to West Ham and they go down and rot together in the Championship. What an absolute loser.

In fairness to the other aussie we have in our squad, Kewell allegedly rejected approaches from Arsenal and United for even more money to join us.

You have to laugh dont you.
There will ony be a handfull of people who will know what his demands are.
The plaer, his agent, Rafa and the board.
I doubt they would want to go about telling everyone the story, which would be a complete contradiction to how the club has been run under Rafa.
Dunk really must think that everyone is just plain stupid to be believing fabrications like this.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Why is everyone having a go at neill,he has the choice to come to us where he would be a squad player, get 20k less a week, and it is more likely he wont win anything with us this season.

At west ham he would be a first team player at a big club, get a very good wage and if west ham get relegated someone like newcastle will just buy him and he will be back in the prem next season.

I hope he does come here as I think he is what we need at left back but I would not blame him if he decided to go to west ham or newcastle.

Agreed. His agent is trying it on though, I would give him a day to stop that nonsense before I moved on; unless Neill thinks a relegation dog fight is worth a bit more each week that is.

We will NEVERpay £70k/week to Niell.

                      Just my opinion of course.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Whatever happened to professional pride and belief in your own ability?
If he wants to go to West Ham (wtf is this Ice Ham ****?), he's more than welcome to.
He's not a winner and therefore doesn't deserve to be in our squad.

And as for 70k a week -- FLMAO!!! Sure...that's Rafa's style all over, isn't it?

With Riise struggling with form and Aurellio always injured then Neill may well find himself playing plenty of games.

Lucas Neill will be a very rich man and no doubt will get a decent signing on fee as well.

Its rumoured we have offered £30,000 a week whereas WHU have offered £50,000 - now your telling me he cannot sort his future out on £30,000 a week.

Instead of thinking about the extra £20,000 a week as his possible final contract (hes only 28 so should be alright yet) he should be thinking this is my final chance at playing at a top European club.
