Sorry, I wasn't claiming how many people were bunking in - not seen any numbers on that : just pointing out that when it becomes accepted - 'the norm' - and hundreds or thousands start doing it then I'd hate to see what happens.

At 'best', stadia will just close their gates like last night and people with tickets won't be allowed in. It will kick off outside and Sky TV will get great video footage of Liverpool fans acting like ******s.

That's different, in that case, the blame lies with those checking the tickets.

But people 'bunking in' is fecked up.

now if people start stealing them off the lucky 1000 who is responsible Apple or the thieves

It would really dissapoint me if it is not the thiefs fault cause if it is then we are saying it is ok to steal something becasue you want one and other people have one and i cant get it any more.
Sounds exciting. What does this new gadget do then and where can I get one?
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

When people get in by bunking through, an obvious consequence is overcrowding and potentially a crush.

And yet, they still do it. Care a lot about their fellow fans, dont they?

              Fecking ****s IMO.

And i couldnt give a sh*t what you think of that or what smiley you use to abuse me. If you're suggesting that it's ok to potentially cause that kind of danger to fellow fans, then that's very sad.
              Spot on mate.

like it or not, we do have an element of fans who are indeed scum and will rip off other fans coz they just don't care about anything human.

Last year at the FA Cup Final, I experienced ths first hand. My mate and I were entering the stadium and we got through the first security check and were about to enter the gates when one such scum element ripped the ticket from my mates hand and starting running.... I was in full cry and rugby tackled him.....the coppers and security were slack and this bloke threw my ticket away - luckily another fan saw him throw it....thankfully i had proof of ticket allocation from the club and the cops gave me the ticket back.....to this day the thing that I am pissed off with is that I probably had the oppurtunity to press charges and teach this bloke a lesson, but i was just so chuffed to get the ticket back that i walked away!

There is a scum element, and the sooner they are erradicated the better

                  Here you go Al

"In terms of fans pushing and attempting to get over the barriers, with turnstiles it could have been a tragedy," he explained.

"At one point the police were overwhelmed and it is much to their credit that there were no dangerous incidents."

I wasn't there and I don't think you were (nothing implied here mate ) But I can say one thing, when you are desperate, very desperate, one can do things one normally wouldn't. And this isn't a normal football match, this is The European Cup Final. That in my opinion is the reason why it should be so tightly organised beforehand and there has to be a flexibility to the plans (ie. allocating more tickets when situations (which had been there for all to see MONTHS in advance) arise that need flexing).

I'm not saying people are allowed to do what they will do, but you cannot say 'don't make it ****ing worse' when there are over 23000 Reds, pissed up maybe, without a ticket. One shouldn't let it get to that. As I mentioned in the UEFA thread, one should be looking to the CAUSE of this whole bollocks and not the EFFECT. Because if the cause gets sorted out, effects can be cancelled out (to a large extent anyway).

thats the same galliard who said we were Lucky to get our allocation of tickets, ever think uefa is deflecting some of the shift back to the fan like

my frustration with this thread was that people were piling into liverpool fans when obviously the problems lie far deeper

                          a) UEFA allocation of tickets
                          b) MOST fans travelled without a ticket as a result
                          c) the only way to get a ticket was through touts
                          d) forgers leapt onto the bandwagon pretending to be touts
                          e) the real tickets were not well produced and so were difficult to spot
                          f) it seems that if the stadium was full that not even the stewards could spot the difference
                          g) that left legitimate ticketholders outside banned from entering
                          h) i'd have gone ****ing nuts

In this string of events, I can only start slinging blame at LFC fans if I start looking at the periphery of the story (ie the odd prick trying to snatch a ticket from a fellow fan, or maybe the odd lad who managed to sneak his way in - and I'm sure there was only the odd lad or else they'd be happily reporting that too!).

I just don't see why everyone is looking at these peripheral parts of the story and saying that our fans were in the wrong.

Go through that list and I really can't see how we're at fault for the stadium being full and genuine ticketholders not getting in, or why those ticketholders wouldn't go ****ing nuts and try to get their way past the copper into their rightful place in the stadium.

The truth is, the likes of UEFA will kill people through their policies. Unless thats where our attention focuses, instead of spotlighting the peripheral odd nobhead, then we're missing the point in my view.
