Thanjk you.

I'm not slagging Voronin off, but he's done nothing in his career to suggest that he can significantly improve us, a couple of decent displays in a pre-season friendly doesn't mean anything really. I don't expect much from Voronin, I'd be happy to be proved wrong, but I won't hold my breath.
To dismiss Owen as a 'passenger' but get a hard on for Voronin is the height of idiocy.
I'm not saying Owen is a 'messiah', but he is a better finisher than any of our current strikers and for £9M I think he's a worthy gamble.
Well it seems all the managers in world football agree with me that he isn't.
So, explain that.

ah right it was just how you quoted my post and then said that my afgument was all ifs. from what i can tell its the same argument as yours.
and how do i think owen will make a difference. well a fit owen would but there wont be a fit owen. his career is not over but he wil never reach the heights he once had.
i dont feel sorry for him. he has earned a vast amount of money and for the way he left the club.
i dont think that it is dog **** logic to look at his previous injury record and the type of injuries and the reaccurance of those injuries plus the awful injury he had at the world cup and to make an informed judgement on his future fitness.
i think you will find that is what the top managers do. i wonder if they should be employed if their logic is dog ****.
For me, it's a good deal. I can only speculate that he's not the sort of player Benitez likes.
You know quite well I'm not a WUM. I suspect you're only calling me that in an attempt to discredit me after I've shown-up your dog **** logic.
What about the rest of the world's football managers?

The logic about Owen not being worth the risk because of his injury record is fair enough, I can understand the apprehension, I just think that he's worth that risk(have I said that?). But that is not what I was referring to as dog ****.
I was referring more to his contention that:
scoring in the dutch league is just as hard scoring in the premiership,
the chance of owen playing 2 months of football is as likely as Cisse improving so drastically that he becomes the best striker in the world, and
that former European player of the year Michael Owen would be a passenger in a side that includes Andriy Voronin and Yossi Benayoun.

Pur-lease.
1. I didn't say anything about scoring in Holland c.f. scoring in England. I said "You can only score agianst the teams you play". So argue about that.
2. I said "Owen has shown about as much competance at getting fit as Cisse has at being a great player" i.e : Not much
3. Owen playing 20 games a season would be a passenger IMO.
