Thanjk you.

I cannot believe how despised Owen has become. If we did sign him would you all hold the same opinions? I am not so sure. All I know is that when he did join the barcodes Rafa said the door was not shut on a future return to Anfield.
Fair enough, but you can't say he's on a par with Owen when he's playing against far inferior opposition. Look at Kezman's record, and he was ****.
And why are you calling me a WUM, is it because I disagree with you?
No.
It's because you think Torres is not a goal scorer, yet he's been AM's top scorer for what? 5 seasons in a row?
You have written off Kuyt after one season, yet Owen, who hasn't done diddly squat for 2 seasons is only a month away from being the best striker in the world.
You've written off Crouch after his great season last season.
Now, anyone who is just out to slag off our players to an unreasonable degree yet praise an opponent as the greatest in the world after being on the site for less than a month is leaving themselves open to be labelled a WUM.

Chilli is in the voronin fan club so I have to back him 150%.

First thing, I haven't said Owen is the best striker in the world, you've just made that up. I said, with a few months of fitness, he is potentially the best striker in britain in terms of goalscoring (I mean British). Who's more prolific? Defoe? Bent? Rooney certainly isn't.
I haven't written either Crouch or Kuyt off, I've said they're good players who have value for the team. What I have said though is that neither of them are natural goalscorers in the vein of Rush and Fowler etc. And they clearly aren't.
Torres's record at Atletico is 82 in 214, that is not the record of a natural goal-scorer.
I'm not slagging anyone off to an unreasonable degree, that is just bollocks. Everything I've said I've meant and I've backed up. Yet I'm a WUM because I don't share you're delusional optimism? Do one.

I've highlighted the exact point where your argument falls over.
Defoe, Bent, Rooney, Crouch, Johnson, Nugent, Ashton, Keane, Bellamy are all British strikers who have scored more goals than Michael Owen in the past two seasons. That makes them more profilic, no?
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

So you've highlighted the point, then completely ignored it.
My saying that Owen can be the Britain's most prolific striker hinges entirely on him being fit for atleast a few months. Also note 'potentially'. I know there's no guarantee of his fitness, but in the same way, who's to say that he can't get 2/3 months of football.
With fitness, even without the speed he once had, he is better than every single one of those strikers you mentioned.
