Another thing about the little runt. Many players have been talking about there teams chances this year over the last couple of weeks. What does Owen talk about, McClaren and England and qualification. When will he ever show some loyalty to his employers :whatever:

I can't see him fitting too well into Allardyce's plans necessarily. If he follows the course he set at Bolton, the fat man will want a big ball-winning thug up front. Alan Smith, or Steven Seagal, for example, might be ideal for Newcastle, not Owen though.

          I'd welcome Owen back...

          In four years...

          As a free transfer...

To be our 4th choice striker....

          On £20,000 a week.

It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

If Viduka grew a ponytail and pretended to be a Buddhist....

            Seagal is more mobile though.

Somethings never change. He's been doing that sh!t since he was 17. That is a major reason why he was never worshipped like Robbie was.

I can't believe the disdain on here for Owen.

He didn't "****" us. Benitez played just as big a part in that whole transfer affair as Owen did.

It's true he has a bad injury record, but he'd had serious injuries before he went to Madrid and was excellent there when he played.

A year out of football does not mean his career is over, he's still only 27 and players have come back from serious injuries before. He has lost some of his pace but he is still quick, quicker than either Kuyt or Crouch.

If he can get maybe 3 injury-free months under his belt then you're looking at probably the best forward in Britain in terms of goals.

Fitness allowing, he is vastly superior to Defoe and Bent, and only really Torres is on a par with him out of the strikers we now possess.

£9m is an absolute bargain. I would love to see him back here.

Hooz he didnt want to be at anfield.

no rose tinted specs please he carried us for a long time and deserves respect for that. but he is more interested in being an england CF than he is in playing for liverpool. thats why god was much more popular.

and he cant get 3 consecutive injury free months that is the problem

I'm not anti-owen in anyway. if he came back and his goals won us the league, I'd be delighted. What I'd despise more than anything is him expecting to play 10 piss poor matches after every injury, just working his way back to form like he used to.

We can't afford to carry anyone at all, even for 10 minutes with scum and scummer on the scene
                      Gillett and Hicks are cunts

I think the FA should just sign him and be done with it.

Funny, that is exactly what Florentino Perez said shortly after Michael Owen pulled our pants down, ****ed us royally and signed for him.

Except it was £8 million and a reserve-team nobody.

England may be his priority, but to say he didn't want to be at Anfield simply isn't true.

If Benitez had wanted to keep him then he would have done that, rather than take as little as he did for him.

Whether or not he can stay clear of injuries remains to be seen, but at £9m it is a risk well worth taking.
