He is a quality player who needs to be given confidence. He will develop plenty more yet. I think we have a real player on our hands. He needs to retain this belief that he is good enough to play in our team - which clearly he is. He always plays better for us away from home - hopefully now the whingers will get off his case at Anfield and he can progress further.

played really well and played a number of roles today. did well holding and on the right. was involved through out the whole game. showed some good passing and didnt do what he is usually so guilty of giving lots of fouls away.

Agree really. He still worries me in a physical sense, when it's tight and congested, i'm not sure he's got the necessary power or strength, but he was good at Arsenal and great today.

Two great perfoprmances in as many starts against hugely different teams in hugely different games.

Against Arsenal he broke up lay and was neat and tidy. Today he was given more space an really showed what he can do. I think he is going to become a very composed, elegant and classy midfielder.

Rafa's just been teaching Lucas the Prem, with cameo appearances, getting it so it's clear in his head what his job here is, so he can eventually send him out and say just play...express yourself, with all the other stuff he's learnt here coming as second nature he will be better equipped to do that...express himself using his natural ability i mean.

Same go's for Babel i feel, just that he's not such a willing student, thinks HE knows what's best for himself football/development wise, like playing in an inferior league in the comfort zone.
