Well yeah. How many members of the FA hierarchy etc are from ethnic minorities? How many black managers are there in the entire football leagues, compared with the % of players? Not to worry though, if we say we're multicultural enough times then we all come to believe it, no matter how much we fail to accept or understand those from different cultural backgrounds and understandings.

The whole thing is ridiculous, and reminds me a lot of the South Park episode about their town flag, an image of a black man being hung by white guys, and Chef thinks the kids are being racist when they defend it until he suddenly realises that they didn't even see the images on it as black and white at all, just as people, completely irrelevant of their skin colour.

In a way I can see why he's jumping on the bandwagon because the word does sound a like a well known racist slur so it's understandble why he's not backing Suarez in this instance otherwise he'd only end up getting questioned more himself.

What ****s me off is that that cunt Tewi will get away it, I just ****ing know it simply because he's English. What's even worse is that Terry's case is going through the CPS so if anything that **** should be in even more **** than Suarez yet we haven't heard a ****ing peep from Taylor and his goons at the PFA or the FA.

Surely we as a club can take this case to the High Court ourselves, perhaps setting a landmark case not only for unfair accusation on Suarez's part but also for sending Terry down for being the racist cunt that he is whilst at the same time completley embarrasing the FA and the PFA at the same time.

The FA and PFA should be ashamed of themselves for this whole saga, it is ****ing embarrasing in this day and age the someone like Suarez, a foreigner who can't barely even speak the English language should be made an escaped goat for something he's done nothing wrong, for saying a word which in his own native tounge is nothing.

Fair comment which i tend to agree with bud

I certainly agree that Liverpool FC should definatly take this case all the way to the top as Suarez as been made to look total scapegoat when infact thats totally the oposite he is.

If we don't come out of this pathetic saga against Suarez with nothing more than a reduced Two match ban then, the FA and the PFA will look like nothing more than the biased, two faced cunts they really are

We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Reading the thread on this over on the rattle someone mentioned Emre was charged with this in 07 and despite 3 witnesses and it being reported to the ref at the time the FA found the charges unproven.

So I'd be delighted to know exactly what has changed between now and then? It seems the main thing that has changed is you no longer need to prove you were racially abused, your say so is now enough to convict.

Could be useful at the appeal.

              Oh and 'escaped goat'

I think the difference could be that Suarez freely admits using the word "negro", or one of its derivations, in Spanish, in the exchange with Evra. The much discussed issue is whether that in itself is in any way racist: although we don't know exactly as the useless FA haven't published their findings, I suspect they've gone down the route that it refers to Evra's race, thus its unacceptable by default.

I think if Suarez had just denied saying anything at all then they would have had to find it "unproven", because he hasn't done that (which in its own way shows how he didn't consider his language at all racist), he's actually convicted himself in the eyes of the FA.

Its a fair point and also proves how **** the disciplinary system is.

Admit you said something you believe to be harmless and get crucified.Say you said nothing when you probably did and get off with it.But then it also highlights FA double standards when English players can admit racist remarks and get a small fine and a 3 game ban.

To be fair though, the club should've advised him to say he said nothing once they were sure there was no audio or video proof of him saying something racist.

I'm still hoping that the FA have initially looked at this with a letter of the law interpretation and handed down the maximum ban, because they haven't considered the cultural differences yet. The idea being this creates a precedent for the future which ensures people found guilty in more clear cut cases get the maximum ban, and sends the message they want out to Blatter and world football.

Hopefully the appeal will consider the cultural and language differences and see Suarez handed down a much reduced ban to accurately reflect the situation which actually occured. If they had handed down a smaller ban in the first place in future people found guilty in more clear cut cases would likely argue that the 8 match ban handed down was disproportionate given the precedent, where as initially handing down a large ban to Suarez then reducing it due to the circumstances allows the large ban to be justified in future. The only downside of this strategy is that it is unfair on Suarez and Liverpool, but the FA don't really care about that.

Right, so Uruguay had a black manager in the 1950's. When did England have their first black manager? Oh.

The FA using the criminal case as an excuse for not dealing with Terry is obvious

I have not spoken to a red or blue who thinks that the FA will not use that as an excuse for letting him off

Frankly I'd be far more surprised if the FA actually dealt with Terry post court case
