It seems he admitted calling Suarez a 'sudaca'? Which is far worse.

I too haven't felt any particular animosity towards Evra over this - no more so than usual anyway, he's a total cunt - but if that is confirmed then it reflects abysmally on him.

Yes, this is the word i've heard too, trading Spanish insults by the sounds of it, and yet Suarez is the only one prosecuted.

If the fa have been that stupid, then they will be shown up around the world to have been discriminating against Suarez, there would be no other way of looking at it. imo.

I've felt quite a lot of animosity towards Evra, I thought he was a cunt before all of this.

There are so many ways at looking at this, it's hard to know who to blame the most. I feel that the FA are the biggest cunts, they had an opportunity to make some sense of the situation long after the heat of the moment. It could have been so easy to sort out and they've made a total mess of the whole thing.

I do think Suarez missed a trick by not explaining and apologising for the misunderstanding as soon as Evra complained. You'd like to think he might have accepted it and dropped the complaint. Probably not like, but still.

As you say if he felt insulted he had every right to complain, perhaps this is a little unfair but I do think he's exagerated it, this whole 'at least 10 times' thing for example seems to have quietly been dropped and from what I can gather (from reports) they're only talking about a single incident.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm sure it won't be dropped when Luis' lawyers and defence team put together their case and I'm glad it won't be.

If this is the case why hasn't Evra been charged this makes no sense.

If Evra has admitted this in his evidence then surely there is as much of a case against him as there is against Suarez. What possible justification can they have for not charging Evra? Are they assuming that because Suarez didn't hear it that it doesn't count? (although Anton Ferdinand supposedly didn't hear what Terry is alledged to have said). Or are they assuming Evra was provoked by Suarez supposedly racially abusing him first. To me neither of these arguements hold and neither would seem consistent with the way Suarez has been treated. The other alternative is are they not considering what Evra has said as racist because it's not a word that (as far as I'm aware) has a racist meaning/context in English? because that one really would be taking the piss.

The FA have completely cocked this one up IMO

If what's been reported is true then Suarez did hear it, responding to "Vos no me toques, sudaca" with "porque, negro/negrito?". Evra went with Ferguson after the game to report it to the ref, didn't he? Suarez made no complaint.

I'm sure I read in one of Gordon Taylor's interviews that the PFA tried to get them together to sort this out when it kicked off but the players or the clubs weren't having any of it (I don't think they mentioned any details). I mentioned this previously and as you suggest I can't imagine Suarez/Liverpool would have been opposed to this, so I'd imagine the problem to be at the Evra/Man Utd. Unless I'm missing something I could only conclude that either they didn't agree that this was a mis-understanding/cultural differences issue, or that Evra/Man Utd had gone so far down this route (in speaking to the press) that they were worried about losing face, or they have an agenda to persue against Suarez/Liverpool.

Now I'm really confused because I thought our club statement said Suarez didn't hear what Evra said

Suarez said he didn't hear it, I think, in order to not make a fuss about it. Fits with what the Uruguayan players speak of about the whole thing staying on the pitch.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I'd have thought that had that been the case the club/Kenny would have been better saying in their statment that Suarez 'heard the insult but didn't make an issue of it' rather than saying he didn't hear it.

They said something like "Suarez, to his credit, admitted he hadn't heard the insult".

Either way, if it does turn out to be true what Evra said....every one will see the farcical nature of what's gone on here, and it'll show the fa and kick it out in a very bad light imo, utd won't look very bright either to other football players around the world!
