      Yep its true

The Court of Arbitration for Sport is as high as you can go (or as high as the FA / UEFA etc... will let you go)

If you try and go further they expel you from ALL competitions until such a case comes to a conclusion (I think this is written in the relevant consitutions for organisations such as the FA, UEFA & FIFA)

I do wonder if FIFA/UEFA might be a little more sympathetic towards our cause simply due to how the FA have behaved and used this case as a way of attacking them.

What a ****ing farce that is.

So we're pretty ****ed on the Suarez case then as the FA won't change their minds.

What a load of old ****.

Suarez himself can sue Evra but as Lec points out the club really can't take the case to court.

I think that is what will happen. Suarez will get banned for eight games and he will then sue Evra to clear his name.

Wouldn't be to surprised if Suarez will also sue a few papers like the Mirror.

I do wonder what would happen if one club took FA/UEFA/FIFA to court because of the rules that they can't take them to court.

I have waited a few years for one club to do that. Would be interesting.

I'm not sure Suarez can actually do that Arn without facing the same potential penalty (ie expulsion from all competition until the case is finalised)

I cant remember a player ever taking it that far, and presumably there is a good reason for that

We will appeal it to the FA most probably - although I'd prefer to wait and see the report before committing myself on that

Beyond that I'm not confident the club or Suarez will pursue it further

I'm not saying they wouldnt be morally right to do it, but just that going down that avenue might be more costly (in terms of time out of the game etc..)

The financial recriminations from not being involved in competitions would be crippling

You just know those cunts (FA/UEFA/FIFA) would string it out as long as possible to punish the club for their audacity

Unless it was someone with REALLY deep pockets (City, PSG etc..) I cant see it happening sadly

FA/UEFA/FIFA are a ****ing joke frankly so I'd be made up for them to get a good kicking somewhere down the line

The document should simply contain all the evidence that has been submitted, together with a clear, non-legalese explanation of how the decision was reached. Don’t forget that, as far I can tell, there was only one legal professional on the panel, so if the explanation is bogged down in legalese mumbo-jumbo then it’s a pretty clear sign of a looking-for-excuses-after-the-decision stitch-up.

I think that whatever the report contains it won't make any difference anyway. We can protest as a club and as fans, but it seems that there are no genuine avenues for recourse once the FA have made their decision. I don't know how, but as football fans we need to do something to turn the tables on the FA. The leagues and the teams are ours - they were borne generally from working class communities and without our support they would cease to exist. I'm not suggesting doing anything to harm our own club, but there must be some action we can take against the FA. We cannot have a situation where the governing body of league football is untouchable and answerable to nobody.

We won't be able to garner popular support either because the vast majority of the press will lap the report up as 'concrete evidence' of guilt. It's no reason not to procede if we think we've got a case, though.

boycott England matches, merchandise and anything thats a money spinner for the FA problem would be getting everyone to do so.

The "Old Boys club" regime that seems to govern the football in this country is utterly disgraceful, corrupt and seemingly above any questioning on how they deem fit to run thier organisation.

I agree with your post, but can you really see a Liverpool fan boycott of England matches having any impact? I don't know anybody who supports Liverpool who also attends England games. It would be a good suggestion if we could rely on sympathy from other clubs, but clearly in this instance we can't.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
