Evra accuses Suarez of racism

I'd have thought that what the FA do regarding John Terry strongly relies on the Police investigation (which they have to wait the completion of). If he is found guilty by the Police then the FA would have no option other than to do the same. Likewise if he is found innocent, then it's somewhat unfeasible that the FA could then charge him.

So I think it's a bit early to be throwing accusations at them for picking on Suarez and letting Terry off when at the moment it's out of their hands.

I think it will be quite the opposite, Terry is getting both barrels if you ask me, I think his stock has been critically damaged and actually this might be a blessing in disguise for England

I would have thought that regardless of the police investigation the FA would have to look into the issue given the evidence, as you would assume the burden of proof for a criminal conviction is much higher than that of an FA charge. However as you say the FA won't start an investigation until the police case is concluded.

Personally I expect the John Terry case to (conveniently) not be heard by the FA until after the Euros
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

How come one is being looked at by the police and not the other, because i worry the level of evidence needed would be higher from a police investigation, ie. one players word agaisnt another would'nt cut it, especially if there was no video/sound evidence after the alleged incident was said to happen so many times and at a public and televised event.

Then again, i expect the FA will have been using Lawyers and the like when deciding whether to charge.

                  This 100x over.

Also, why is the Terry case a police investigation and Suarez' isn't?

Is it because of the official complaint made to police officers rather than the FA? I think to be honest if these things are going to be investigated there should be consistency. I'd rather the police investigate the Suarez incident than the FA anyway.

This smacks of mashers "respect the ref" token punishment.

                      Where is the proof?

Just read a post on a Barca site, where someone said this happens.
Absolutely. I recall Andrew Symonds (black Aussie cricketer) copped a heap of racial abuse on a tour of India a few years back.

With regard to whites not understanding racism, it's probably fair to say that most of us haven't been subjected to that much of it. To say it's not possible for white people to be subjected to racism, however, completely misunderstands what racism actually is. A mate of mine was one of the few white kids in her school and was subjected to lots of abuse based on her skin colour. This is clearly racism. Just because white people are main culprits, doesn't mean they can't also be victims.

The police investigation has presumably been prompted by a member of the public complaining and the video evidence. The police presumably believe that the video evidence at least merits further criminal investigation. I suspect that either no-one made a complaint to the police about Suarez, or they have deemed there is insufficient evidence merit a criminal investigation into the Suarez case.
