Id like to thank everyone for reading my post and giving me acknowledgement....

Am I the only one that thinks like this....along with IRWT. Are we both mental to not care about value?

I mean in the first couple of minutes against Norwich we hit the bar and hit the framework a total of 3 times in this match - Carroll hit the bar in the first 10 minutes from a good cross from Downing against Swansea - it's simply the finishing isn't good enough.

Blaming work loads, tiredness etc....... on why players are missing is complete rubbish, it's about composure and working hard in practice to take these chances.

Put Rush or Fowler upfront (instead of either Carroll or Suarez) and this discussion about formations not working, tiredness/overworking of players etc... wouldnt even be taking place

Oh and here is a case in point Rush worked his ****ing socks off upfront probably harder than ANY forward I have EVER seen

He was still able to put away his chances when he got them (Suarez has no excuses for his profligacy)

        I disagree with this

We come under pressure BECAUSE we fail to take our chances

As games go on and we continue to miss chances we get edgy and that affects our play

This allows the opposition back into the game when it should have been dead and buried

Norwich & Swansea have played well in spells but only in 20-25 minutes (at most) we have shot ourselves in the foot so many times this season because we are failing to finish games off

Suarez is amazing simply an amazing player but it's pointless playing that well if we don't score from it. He and the rest of the players need to work on their finishing.

Poor finishing has cost us an extra 6 points at least this season, the more chances you miss the more likely you are pressured from the opposition who may get that one chance and stick it in the back of the net.

I've said this before but I think we're suddenly going to batter someone off the park

Can't agree with this. To play Suarez that have hamstring problems and Carroll that isn't mobile enough to chase and winning the ball back meant that Swansea could pass the ball around at the back.

Big mistake by Kenny. We had no one that could put any early pressure on them. As I said, that changed when Bellamy and Kuyt entered the pitch because we then suddenly had players that could press them in our attacking half. Then we started to pin them back.

The mistake by Kenny meant that we had no real chance doing it before Kuyt and Bellamy entered the pitch.

I agree. We could've given Bolton and Norwich (just two from the top of my head) a battering. Fine margins and all that when it comes to taking chances.

Unfortunately it's not. We've been second best in the second half in many of our games this season. And there's no doubt that Swansea were on top for periods of the game.

football ebbs and flows it always has and always will, by not taking our chances heads will drop a bit and give the opposition a bit of heart that they're somehow not out of it yet.

But Arn we are creating chances - thats undeniable

We are missing a huge amount of chances - again that is undeniable

This has happened in tons of games this season, we have started numerous 1st halves like a house on fire and created chance after chance after chance

Its only when we miss those chances that it gives the opposition a foot hold in the game (normally for a period 15-25 minutes), then Kenny reacts and we again go back to creating chance after chance and still continue to miss them

Bottomline is whether Bellamy, Kuyt, Suarez or whoever is on the pitch we still create chances and still miss the vast majority of chances that we make

Agreed but its normally been on the back of spending the vast bulk of the first half missing chance after chance

Swansea were the better team (as were Norwich) for about 20 minutes in the second half

Then we re-adjusted and then went back to the scenario were we create chances only to miss them

In all my time watching Liverpool I have NEVER seen a side waste so many chances

Kenny said in his pre match interview that he knew how Swansea would play and then he start with an unfit Suarez and Carroll with Henderson and Downing on the wings

That meant that we had no players that could stop them what they love doing. Passing the ball around at the back.

He did nothing to stop them doing it until Kuyt and Bellamy entered the pitch, nothing at all.

It is his bloody job to stop them doing that. It is job to get the team the best possible chance to win the game. He didn't thanks to his mistakes.

Playing Henderson out of position, playing a team that couldn't put any early pressure on them, not playing Bellamy and Kuyt. Playing Lucas and Adam in the middle.

You could get away with it if you make maybe one mistake but not if you do big tactical mistakes like he did, again.

Yet we still created chances and despite not playing great could have been out of sight by half time

Its frightening that someone doing his job so badly can put out a team with the wrong formation and unfit players and still get them creating (and unfortunately missing) chance after chance

Even when he brings off those players who shouldnt be playing and changes formation and we continue to create chance after chance we still fail to convert those chances we are creating

Bottomline is this, no matter what formation is tried or which combination of players is on the pitch if you dont take your chances (which we clearly dont) you wont win games

I train some kids from time to time to help out my local club. They play in our fifth highest division by the way.

They don't like me at all because they must work so hard.
