Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

We didn't create chance after chance until after Bellamy and Kuyt had entered the pitch. Before that we only had two good scoring chances.Originally posted by Lecter View PostYet we still created chances and despite not playing great could have been out of sight by half time
Its frightening that someone doing his job so badly can put out a team with the wrong formation and unfit players and still get them creating (and unfortunately missing) chance after chance
Even when he brings off those players who shouldnt be playing and changes formation and we continue to create chance after chance we still fail to convert those chances we are creating
Bottomline is this, no matter what formation is tried or which combination of players is on the pitch if you dont take your chances (which we clearly dont) you wont win gamesStop the cyberhate

No, they are kids. They should be allowed to have some fun. The result in a game isn't that important. The important thing is to have fun out there.
I try to teach them some tactical things but as I said. The most important thing is to have fun out there.Stop the cyberhate

Even so we still didnt take any of them
Just like we didnt take any of them when Bellamy & Kuty came on
Incidentally I find it the height of hilarity that you criticise Kenny for playing Suarez with hamstring problems when Rafa frequently played an unfit Torres when he shouldnt have (and in the process often set the players fitness back further)Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Yes, that is the most important thing. And not just in kids' football.

I did criticize Rafa when he did that. Many times. From what I can remember I got attacked time after time suggesting that we must rest Torres more often.Originally posted by Lecter View PostWe created more than two chances first half

If you read a certain book by Reade then you should also know that our medical staff didn't tell the whole truth to Rafa how badly injured Torres was.
That resulted in the famous sub when he took Torres off and Gerrard shaking his head when he did it.Stop the cyberhate

Every time he's about to score one of his hamstrings goes funny and he misses..

Suarez isnt anywhere near as badly injured as Torres was thoughOriginally posted by Arn View PostI did criticize Rafa when he did that. Many times. From what I can remember I got attacked time after time suggesting that we must rest Torres more often.

Torres' level dropped enormously Suarez general ability hasnt
I dont buy that Suarez is missing chances because of injury either
He was missing chances last season as well that he should have takenBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

My mistake. It is a calf injuryOriginally posted by Dalglish View PostWhat hamstring problems does Suarez have? I guess I missed this
Suarez and Reds defender Sebastian Coates face a hectic international break with Friday’s qualifier against Chile in Montevideo followed by a friendly against Italy in Rome next Tuesday night.
The former Ajax frontman, who flew with Coates to South America after Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Swansea City, says he’s been hampered by a calf problem in recent weeks.
However, he has vowed to be fit to line up for the depleted Copa America winners, who are without the injured Diego Forlan among others.
“Obviously after Saturday’s game and the trip I am a bit tired but I am recovering,” Suarez added.
“It is incredible the quantity of injuries that we have. I also was hurt in the calf during the games with Norwich and Stoke but thankfully it was not major. We’re happy to be top of the qualifying group but this is an important match against Chile because then we do not play until June.”
Pepe Reina has been named in the Spain squad for Saturday’s friendly against England at Wembley but there’s no place for clubmate Jose Enrique.
Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has dropped out of the Scotland squad to face Cyprus in a friendly in Larnaca on Friday due to a knee injury.

I dont think it has hampered him too much nor has it affected his finishing (he scored 2 at Stoke when he picked up a knock)
If we are making excuses for him because of injury we should be doing the same for Adam (as he is also mentinoed in the aboveBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Serious question for those that believe all our problems this season are done to Suarez's poor finishing - How did we manage to score so many goals last season under Dalglish (namely Fulham away, Birmingham and Newcastle at home etc.) but this season we are 11th in the league in terms of goals scored (14) Norwich and Bolton have scored more than us so far.
