What if the club reconsiders (after meeting SOS) and decides to reduce ticket prices, would some of you be disappointed? Or would you see it as a positive move?

I just do not understand the general negativity towards SOS, especially when it comes to these kind of issues. Ask yourself this, how would the great man himself (Shankly) felt at the way the club was moving, alienating many local fans of today and tomorrow with ticket prices they simply cannot afford.

I want them to get the decisions right. If that takes time, so be it.

I'm behind their goals on this one. I just think that they're going about it the wrong way, again. Their use of language is not particularly clever and it is more likely to alienate them than get them included in the dialogue. I've said all this already in the previous posts.

With a bit more clever thinking, some diplomacy, some suggested solutions and some people with PR skills, they could be far more effective. As it is now, they come across as angry militant ranters.
          Oh I don't know.

Not sure why they get bashed with this 2 and a half year thing to be honest. A £150m - £300m decision needs to be thoroughly researched and thought about, not just made on a whim. If they make the wrong decision I'm sure SOS would be the first to put out a release slating them.

Everyone would love lower ticket prices and be able to go to games. Fact is the amount of money in the game here, the owners, the PL who seem to have no check on 'fit and proper' owners just won't facilitate that.

              (a) 2 and a half years already is a whim then ?

              (b) Whats the answer then . Sit back and let them carry on shafting us ?

Or get mobilised nationally and take the game back to some semblance of affordability and morality ?

You can take it back to affordable, but I am not sure exactly what is 'moral' about all the cash lining the pockets of chairman who let tens of thousands of fans stand in dilapidated old stadia.

Well, I'm not involved in the process so it would be a pure guess. But here is a simplified stab at the process:
                    1. Cost / benefit analysis to determine whether new stadium or Anfield refurb is more viable
                    2. Search for sponsor to fund new stadium development in tandem with point 1
                    3. Work with council and others to determine the limitations / constraints of expanding Anfield (right to light etc) in tandem with point 1
                    4. Decision made to expand anfield
                    5. Detailed architectural designs (in progress I guess)
                    6. Integrate with detailed community development plan (in progress)
                    7. Integrate with detailed transport plan (in progress)
                    8. Buy up remaining required properties (in progress)
                    9. Submit planning application (in progress I guess)
                    10. Await planning approval (tbc)
                    11. Multi stage development (one stand at a time) (tbc)
                    Oh I don't know.

I would argue semblance was the key word

You believe FSG are shafting us? Can you explain how?

How long do you think it should have taken them to decide on the Stadium?

So whats been happening the last 2 and a half years then ? What have the high powered experienced persons in our club within this process been doing in that time to move the Stadium Issue on to a spade in the ground ?

Oh . They've got other interests Stateside . I nearly forgot that

All of the things which Dom says are very much part of the processes .

I'll tell you what , we'll revisit this thread in another 2 years . Lets see where we are then

Most successful business people have diversified interests/businesses. They've paid off a load of money to sort out the mess of previous management/regime. No complaints on the owners for me. You are moaning about ticket prices but want a new stadium/expanded stadium now, which would more than likely increase prices anyway

Seriously, can you not see the flaws in your argument? You want to be the best team, the most successful team but you don't want to pay extra to watch a game. Where do you think the money will come from?

Heaven forbid that we actually got owners who built a new stadium straight away, pumped in a load of money to the team, lowered prices. What would SOS moan about next?
