So he's better than John Obi Mikel and Alexander Song, and that makes him world class. Har fecking har.

One of the worst analysis' I've ever seen. What the hell is "loss of possession"? If he has made 88 unsuccessful passes, how did he lose the ball only 3 times? What does it take into account?

All of those players listed, well, none of them are anything special. Scott Parker is the best and most influential player in that list, and would be my pick of the lot. He's a decent player, judging from WATCHING THE GAMES and noticing the impact he has on the pitch.

yeah I noticed that. Not a headline grabbing player, but a couple of times when he controlled a difficult ball and spun out of trouble were amazing. If a more media friendly player :cough: Scott Parker :cough: had done the same we'd never hear the end of it.

In short Lucas has graduated to become a top (top) player.

Sorry John Doe, you can pass it off as being blinkered, but I would rather have Lucas than any of those in the comparison.

Stick a sock in it. We know you are not able to appreciate a great footballer when you see one.

I suggest you stop dumbing yourself out, as it is becoming irritating and tiresome

                    Oh the irony.

Parker has clearly been playing very well too but dismissing Lucas like that is not the sign of someone with an open mind.
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It's not exactly controversial to say Parker is better than Lucas. 9 out of 10 football fans in the country would probably say the same. And Song is a class player, as is Lucas.

The hyperbole re Lucas here is more noteworthy than John Doe's axe grinding imo.

90% of football fans might say Parker's better, because a) he's english, b) it's part of the Harry love-in, c) he won player of the year and d) he's more of a highlights player than Lucas.

Doesnt mean **** though. Lucas is 24. What was Parker doing at 24? Sitting on Chelsea's bench, picking splints out of his arse.

At the highest peak he could ever imagine, Parker is only just getting into the England side with any consistency. Lucas is a mainstay for Brazil. At 24.

As, i suspect, would Lucas be if he had signed for Chelsea at the same age.

The age Lucas actually is now, you mean? And the age at which Lucas is better than Mikel and would walk into the current Chelsea midfield?

                                Why is it more noteworthy..?

Also I've never seen the word Hyperbole used more than it is on this site. I don't think there have been any 'hyperbolic' statements made with regard to Lucas. I'd have him in the team ahead of all the others on the list too. Is that Hyperbole?

                                Hyperbole. Hyperbole. Hyperbole.
