I mean....if he's done his cruciate, did he exacerbate it getting up and trying to play on? Most people wouldn't even entertain trying to stand up with that kind of damage but Lucas got up and carried on

That's the biggest worry. However, the great thing about Lucas is it's his brain and technique which make him so good. He doesn't overly rely on his physical attributes like a lot of players. Take Torres as an example. Now he's lost his pace, he'll never be the same player. Lucas is more like Xabi, in the sense that he will get better and better with age.

Plus the bloke has shown that he has incredible mental fortitude, a great attitude and by all accounts works very, very hard in training.

He'll be back. But we need a replacement
