Rodgers said just recently again about Luis that every player has its price so it is very possible that we could sell Lucas if we get what we'd consider to be a good value.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostEasy story to write that. I think Rafa will be well aware we won't entertain any bids for him. Load of nonsense on many levels.

Offer would need to be in the region of £20m though, and I'm not sure we'd find a decent replacement even with that sort of moneyOriginally posted by Mostar View PostRodgers said just recently again about Luis that every player has its price so it is very possible that we could sell Lucas if we get what we'd consider to be a good value.

If we are offered in region of £15-16m I'm not so sure we would say no.Originally posted by Norbs View PostOffer would need to be in the region of £20m though, and I'm not sure we'd find a decent replacement even with that sort of money
Strootman personally would be a very good consideration but he'd cost little bit more than that.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

If Rafa could pick one defensive midfielder out there to sign then it would probably be Lucas.Stop the cyberhate

Rodgers loves Lucas, no way would he consider selling for that price. I'm not sure he would entertain any offer, unless he had concerns about his long term fitness.Originally posted by Mostar View PostIf we are offered in region of £15-16m I'm not so sure we would say no.

Same thing was bandied about when Rafa took charge at Inter........never happened.
Would expect Rodgers to recognise how important Lucas is to our squad, but would never underestimate a player's urge to move on after a long time at one club."I will make the boys feel your support"

Rodgers loves Agger and we came so close to selling him anyways. I'm not so sure it is him who makes that call.Originally posted by RedReet View PostRodgers loves Lucas, no way would he consider selling for that price. In terms of price, Lucas before injury was 20m player but after injury he is not.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

for someone who has never played the game, That seems a ridiculously low average for the top tackler in the prem. Not even 5 tackles in 90minOriginally posted by dww View PostOpta Anfield @OptaAnfield 2m
Lucas Leiva averaged the most tackles per game in the PL with 4.7, making a total of 123 tackles in the games he featured in this season.

Been very good in pre-season and getting better with every game. The amount of interceptions he makes is staggering and his passing sublime. Could be massive for us next year if he can stay fit, arguably as important as Suarez. Definitely think top 4 is achievable with him in the side. Hopefully he'll make the Brazil squad for the world cup too.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
