For me Lucas was below par, all players have this happen from time to time but it would be good to have increased competition in the middle of the park.

Possibly, but Lucas' par seems to be set a lot lower than everyone elses. he seems to need a hole in one every performance to avoid criticism, whereas others can double bogey regularly with hardly a comment.

I don't think it is, he was ponderous in midfield for me and not at his best - as I said it happens to every player but perhaps because of his position on the pitch it appears worse as it's a direct route to the back 4.

FWIW I think he's an excellent player for us and has been for some time.

Yeah but someone tips were going to win 7-0 every week yeah I never said nightmare but he was below his best & it showed. Hopefully it's a one off.

He was good first half, not so good second half getting caught on the ball a couple of times.

Second half the problem for me stemmed from us playing too deep - Lucas is good at quick, fast moving on of the ball but that requires movement. From Rodgers post-match comments that seems to have been deliberate (if so I think it was a mistake).

I don't think I've made any predictions this year, but if I did I'd have gotten the nil part right both times.
