If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Gerrard has said in an interview that Sterling is the toughest player in the squad and he won't go near Sterling in training because there will only be one winner!
      Who'd have thunk it!

          Smoke. Arse. Blowing. His

This is all to make Sterling a good target from opponents and to take the heat off Sturridge and Suarez. Sterling's the quickest player we have and represents a damn fine way to draw a foul from them.

There's no way on earth Sterling is tougher than Gerrard

Pound for pound, Sterling is probably the toughest. His physical progress in a year has been unbelievable. Used to fall down with the slightest touch, now he can shield the ball from two players like a brick wall. He must have been constantly at the gym.

Got to admit, it's been a while since I saw Sterling properly outmuscled, even when he got shifted to right back he never shirked the task and was tackling back with gusto. I reckon Gerrard, while maybe exaggerating, isn't so far from the truth of it all.

He's strong and he's small, it's really hard to knock him off the ball.

If he was big and he was tall, he wouldn't he half as fast at all.

In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Don't think Sterling even realised he'd put his hand on Webb, so i don't see it as disrespectful, just over eager to plead his case, there was no intent to make Webb look stupid or to insult. imo.

actually thought Webb handled it well i.e. called Gerrard over to have a word with 'young' Sterling. However, it appeared to me that Gerrard went over to Webb and told him he was having a shocker. As for looking stupid, Webb didn't need Sterling's help

The assist for the first goal was Coutinho-esque. Weight of the pass was perfect.
