So obvious Sterling has all the attributes for a full/wing back. Wouldn't mind Rodgers going with a 3-5-2 (Skrtel, Agger, Sakho) with Sterling and Flanno as wing backs.

Then we can bolster our midfield while still playing with two proper strikers up front.
    One tit for another.

Not to Webb..........in his mind, Sterling 'dissed' him, and he will now hold it against him for the remaining years of their interaction with each other.

If it had been an Arsenal player we'd have screamed for a Red card. It may be a nothing incident on a football field but he's bloody lucky not to have got sent off for that. You just can't push a ref, especially with the verbals going on too. Webb's a cunt but kept his head there. Not expecting anyone to agree with me of course

Another quality display by Sterling though

I think Sterling should have been red carded for that. I don't think any player should disrespect the referee in that way even though Howard Webb was being a cunt.

He clearly regretted it later though and decided to double **** us!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

yeah tbf he was within his rights to send him off but common sense prevailed.

Well, he reacted the right way.......had a word with the aggrieved (rightfully, I might add) player and his captain, in a period of the game that was getting a little heated.

But in truth, it was the minimum to be expected from an official in that position, and it's hardly the worst example of a player physically touching a ref, which happens far more often than BT Sports/Arsenal fans were trying to tell us yesterday.
Very much a nothing incident that was handled in the appropriate manner.........any other way, whether ignoring it or sending him off, would have been spectacularly poor.

Only thing Webb done to earn his pay yesterday.

It was a nothing incident but the problem the ref/refs have is setting precedents.

By not sending him off, the current interpretation is now that players are allowed to slightly push the ref. Whether it's in the context of heated moment or young player doesn't really matter.

He was trying to explain Webb that he was pushed by Jenkinson in the play before and wasn't given neither a free kick or corner kick.

His immaturity caused him to overreact and (gently) touch Webb. Webb did the right thing there and talked to Stevie as the captain first and warned him that type of behavior could not be tolerated going forward.

Sending him off would have been way too harsh.

Think Webb got of lightly too. Wish big Kolo was on the field to charge through the back of him.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
