His contract situation has been badly handled by the club but I see a player that realises his importance to the club and appreciates the club and the fans.

I think it is hard to know if it has been badly handled unless we know what the terms of engagement are. It is possible that Henderson wants guarantees or money that we aren't in a position to provide.

I'm going to chose to trust the club as in general over the last few years we seem to have upped our organizational and planning game.

It's ok to have a structure in place but it can't hold us back from progressing, Henderson and Sterling should be central to our plans going forward along with Phil, Sturridge, Can and Sakho. Spurs have tight wage structure in place, that will probably keep them from challenging for the title.

I'm far from certain tbh. I'd like to think they would, especially Hendo as he seems to be a decent bloke with his feet on the ground, but we also have to remember that this is their football career, not a fan living out their dream playing for a favourite club.

So it's a possibility really.

A genuine possibility IMO, they aren't from Liverpool, they don't have any special attachment to the club besides having played for it. If another club comes in with a better offer plus regular trophies and CL I think they'll have decision to make and it wouldn't be straightforward.
