Who gives a **** about his contract, none of us are involved in his contract negotiations so what the **** do we know?

Just enjoy his growing stature and influence on the pitch.

We know he hasnt signed a new one and he has just over 15 months left on the existing one

I would be enjoying his stature and influence far more knowing we had him secured for the next 4 or 5 years

True that. But still I have faith that he'll sign a new contract and we can all go back to laughing at Everton and the scum.

Kuyt was on his way out and Hendo was up and coming. Everyone said long term he was a central midfielder, but he was too raw to play that position for LFC at the time. I remember Murphy and Gerrard playing RM under Ged, it was just a way of getting them games without putting too much pressure on them. They called it the "graveyard shift" as no one wanted it but it was essential to the players development.

Was the idea not to have Henderson and Downing on the wings to create chances for Carroll as they statistically were two of the best in the previous season?

I'm not convinced it was for his development, rather than where Kenny (or Comolli) had wanted to play him.

Kuyt, along with Maxi, Meireles and Suarez had a great finish to the previous season, so was not on his way out. He was still playing well in the world cup last year.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Henderson will stay with the group. He's seen how he's developed in this wonderful set-up, and he believes in this project - no question.

A lot of fans used to call him Jordan Horrendouson. Still makes me laugh, but boy has he destroyed that name tag now. A real leader. I love the way he struts around the pitch.

Sorry auto correct changed Saj for Dan too.

It was Saj who said Shelveys a better player. In hindsight

I think there was a fairly brief time when this was true. I've always liked Henderson (go me ) but Shelvey had more confidence and was a lot more vocal in terms of demanding the ball and all that stuff. Henderson's had to grow into that, but Shelvey was always cocky and I liked that. He's a really good player (Jonjo) I think, but will fall short of top class because he's too impetuous and rash.
