to be fair he linked up decently in the first half with Kelly and the boys up front, he dropped off massively in the second half but then pretty much the entire side did.

I think for the next couple of games though Dirk should be in the side for him, he's a big game player and Everton and United we'll need that experience!

I'm not going to slag him off. I will criticise him. And quite frankly he needs some torch paper sticking out of his ass being lit.

the logic could be that in 6 months we have a fine young talent doing his stuff and looking right at home, whilst dirk is a trier, realistically his days at this club as a starter are numbered. I can't see him here next season. We're building a team which means we'll have to be patient and have some faith in the boss. I still dirk will get plenty of game time though.

I'm sure this is the logic. And believe it or not I have some faith in the lad. But at the same time I'm not going to use that as an excuse to keep him in the team either. That right should be earnt, regardless of signing on fees or manager's dogma.

The Diao reference is based on his short passing when ever he got the ball most of the game. It was unproductive and put pressure on who ever had just passed it to him.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think that's the issue here.. It's not like we've spent £20m on a player in his prime - Hendo has plenty of time ahead of him. I can't understand why someone as productive as Kuyt can't make the team whilst a relative novice is taking up the space. He should have got his chance once Kuyt got injured or lost some form, and it's not being hard on the lad - its just the way it is.

Can see he has something about him, but in general I think the fact we're starting with 4/5 new signings in every match this season hasn't done us too many favours in terms of our fluidity.

His start here might pan out similar to Lucas's - where it takes him 3 seasons to really put his stamp on the team. Or he might be doing things in training that convinces Kenny he's going to explode this season.. Bit of a mystery this one though!!

I think when you look back at our season last year, nobody wanted to spend 20 million on a player for the future.

Everybody wanted each and every signing to be an impact player from the start..

Everything would be fine if he was called Henderoso and we signed him from South America..

We didn't spend £20m on him ffs. £13.5 with add ons rising to £16.5

Yet not the £20m that Sky shouts about and everyone buys hook, line and sinker.

It will prove to be a steal, He has been asked to come in and play RM from the off which is not his natural or best position or one that can show off his strengths. I also think he has tried to play it safe far to many times which is natural for someone new and taking a step up.

I do agree Kuyt should come in for the next couple of games, but i also believe in Henderson we have a fantastic talent, who given a season or 2 will prove many doubters wrong.
