He really hasn't though. He has been given many chances. And he as well as the team only did well yesterday once Diame went off.

He has been very very solid in all of the games he has played under Rodgers, his delivery into the box is superb, that assist he notched up today is not his first, he gets great purchase on the ball. Great young player, is he Masher, Xabi or Stevie ... no ..could he grow into a top class footballer certainly ... he was exceptional for Sunderland before coming to us, is Captain of the National side and has represented his country at every level .. If you think he is **** maybe its you who is a bit **** ... not you Saj just doubters in General

he is now contributing to the team. it has taken him a while [and a psychologist] to remember how to play football.
lets not get too carried away here. a couple of ok performances out of how many
he is young, but was bought for enough money to suggest he should be a ready to go player, not a potential player who will go into the reserves and lets hope he comes through.
we know how lucas got slated, yet he came good. lets all hope the same is true of henderson. i doubt he will still be with us for the start of next season, unless he starts ripping. maybe he has now got some hair on his balls, who knows

In all honesty he hasn't really though has he?? What i find interesting is that there are lot of people canvasing for Henderson when our own manager tried to get rid of him!

And these same people canvasing for Henderson also believe in Rogers and his judgement?? Clearly i'm not a fan and seems Brendan Rogers isn't either... so i think i'll go with our managers judgement on this one

Not sure but IMO Rogers obviously had an opinion of Henderson before he came to LFC, had look at him in training, didn't like what he seen and tried to offload him, couldn't so is stuck him,Cole,Downing etc and is making do. Wonder if it's a coincidence that all three have featured alot recently coming up to the January window?

If Henderson finds some iota of form fantastic & that is great for LFC !! Personally i'm happy that he is not a regular starter & that he is being used as an impact sub which is utilising his best asset late on in games.... his engine. Said this when Kenny signed him that i'd rather him and Downing be used as impact subs late of in games but Kenny's bad judgement and injuries saw to both players starting nearly every game. Didn't do LFC or either player any good.

IMO he'll be gone by next year.

Hes a good talented footballer, whos got some skill, is physically impressive and has it in his tool box to play Premiership football to a very high level. For a multitude of reasons his career at LFC has not exactly shone, but I show you a list as long as my arm of talented footballers who have not done well at LFC over the past 20 years, especially the last 10, it happens, the lad needs a run of games to prove his worth, or better yet why can we all just get used to the idea that just because he is not in the starting 11 it does not make him **** .. We need a strong Squad ... the best teams that squad changes complexion over the years, sometimes you are on the bench other times you are the first name on the team sheet ... but the important thing is you are at the club ... As you can tell from my Signature .. obviously I like him .. a lot ..but not in a gay way

Makes sense, he rates Shelvey more highly (I personally don't) and clearly thought he'd be a worthwhile "pawn" in a move to get us a player who he thought we needed more. As it turns out I think Hendo has proven his worth to us.

Yup.

If Hendo had cost us £8M, Downing £10M and Carroll £15M then I think expectations around their performances would be a lot more realistic.

If I was to overpay for one of them though... it would have been Henderson because he's talented and young, we can mould him into the type of midfielder we need or are going to need, ie, a semi-replacement for Gerrard. I say semi-replacement because we will NEVER find a midfielder like that ever again, best we can hope for is someone who contributes 75% as much as he does.

That's true lads i do get what your saying but unfortunately we did pay that money for Henderson, we did pay that money for Downing and we did pay that money for Carroll. So you have to look at that and value for money. That's what FSG are all about, and clearly we haven't got value for the money we paid. No doubts they are looking at that.

January will be very interesting obviously to whom is coming in, but Rogers doesn't seem to mess around and few heads in LFC's current squad want to be worried.

The big test of his value will be in 5 years time when we can look back and judge him.

it does not matter if a player costs 50p or 50m, its what they actually contribute to the team, are they worth their place, are they better than anyone else sitting on the bench or from the reserves.

maybe he has shown some promise in the last couple of games, but overall he is still not fulfilling his promise.

Fair point, but the game doesn't work that way any more, an albeit young but already premier league experienced player doesn't get 5 years to make an impact. He has played 50 odd games for Liverpool, played nearly every game under Kenny. The fact is we paid big money and we haven't got a return on it, and it begs the question who else could we have got for that money?

I don't get why do people keep saying he is being played out of position? He made his name on the right at Sunderland, and his supposed crossing ability and moneyball stats were the reason why we bought him and Downing, so Comoli said. He hasn't got the presence to control or dominate a midfield, if he had he would be a starter there.

Short of a dramatic improvement (which wold be fantastic) there is no way he'll last 5 years at LFC IMO. Personally i don't think he'll last the summer.
