This could be a problem. And one that only we seem to be dealing with this year - maybe due to lack of CL.
Offer **** all for a player (in this case £50m less than he's worth) while offering 500k tax free in wages.
A comparative offer to look at is Telles of United £4m (he's not great to be fair, but should be more than that - united paid 3x that). Yet he's earning £7m a season with a 25% less tax outlay.
But anyone in their prime and serious about their football career ought to think carefully about chasing the penny in Saudi. Unless/until the football becomes top notch, it is a big step backwards football career-wise. Would you do that just because your club has missed out on the Champions League.

Lots of people see success and money being pretty much the same thing, can't imagine footballers being any different.

What we would deem a sucessful footballing career would probably be EPL and CL medals. But i dare say a young lad from Barrancas, La Guajira would just be as happy looking back on the millions he made from professional football wherever the **** that happens to be.

Is that where Rudedog is from then?
I suspect the sort of players Liverpool want in their team are people hungry for trophies and international caps. Maybe when you are 32 and have won everything, it is only about money (rather than more trophies and more caps).
