Oops, fake news. They’re not actually rainbow armbands.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostYep, obviously they’d have done that in any case, but has turned out to be appropriately symbolic in Henderson’s case.

still got a weird b+w patch over them though just to be sure"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

I’m not sure it did, like the squaring up to Costa, the geeing up of the crowd etc etc, it all just had that little bit of cringe to it. Still, a generally positive guy.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostThink to echo previous comments on here, we should keep it civil. Good luck Hendo. That stupid shuffle when lifting the trophies actually became endearing.

Great captain who brought out the best of those around him. Those videos where you can hear him on the pitch show how he led the team. Never the best player on the pitch, not the extravagant continental name fans swoon over, nor the showboating skill player but always gave his all for the team. He knew he was bound to be replaced for someone younger. Wish him the best and without him our midfield may well take a while to settle.

That says it all really. Massive respect from his peers. That’s what matters.Originally posted by Irishnev View Post
I think he embodied the values of the club incredibly well, he bridged the gap from us being **** to good. And the intangibles that are so ****ing important in success, he was good at those. A leader.Modifying post.

Also, who knows what is happening in the background. Could he be a voice in the dressing room trying to educate his fellow players, could he be donating money to promoteLGBT causes around the world? We are assuming he has sold out all his principles (or supposed principles) to chase the money, but there could be more to it.
Or he's just a money grabbing ****.
