I don't think anyone hasn't given him credit where it's due but as Chazza and Muddled have stated he makes the same errors time and again. If he can get past the dropping deep issue he's a decent defender but it happens time and again.

Today he's played well as he has the past couple of games but the same underlying issue of dropping too deep is always there.

There is a handful of posters that it's killing them giving him any shred of credit. The guy has been dealing with no DM in front of him, playing beside Lovren & Johnson & a dodgy keeper. We have found a formation and a settled line up and shock horror Skrtel is playing so well. I'm absolutely delighted for the chap.

But just wait until he makes a mistake, just one mistake (which he will) he will be torn to shreds.

Chelsea had one shot that I remember, the Penalty. Can't see how Skrtel dropping deep was the wrong option. Nor has it been a problem of late. 3 away clean sheets on the bounce - not managed that since 2008.
