For me it was too attacking and everytime we lost the ball we had too many men behind the play. We struggled to get the ball back from a pretty poor side which needs addressing.
I also think we need a plan b - a fallback option. Yesterday, the pitch was bobbly and although it looked ok, the ball wasnt running well enough. The way the manager wants us to play requires good quick passing which further requires a good pitch.
Sometimes, if the pitch isnt suitable for how you want to play its sensible to alter your system. but when we dont have anyone different upfront who can help us bypass the midfield at times.
gerrard came on and instantly started playing some longer passes which stretched the play in our favour.
