players either have to wake up or go and get another job!!! they are paid silly amounts for kicking a ball around and some of them need to wake up, these players couldnt do a days proper work now!!!!

coates, jones, robinson, wisdom, henderson, sterling all had dire games and if we had a stronger squad id drop them for the arsenal game, they wouldnt even get on the buss!!!!

rodgers even stated that liverpool improved when gerrard and downing came on, gerrard yes he made us better, but give over downing did nothing, he never got a cross on targett, he never does anything, he runs then stops then pass it of to another team make, he never beats a man, he is kack, id drop him but we dont have anoy one else?

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong on so many levels.
I can't be arsed going over it again, see my post on the last page of the Oldham post match thread.

When you walk onto the pitch everyone is equal, our biggest problem for 10 years has been players playing in awe of Gerrard and passing to him every single time.
You're suggesting that Robinson can't tell Suarez to **** off for having a go at him??

Suarez was dumped on the floor and couldn't have got to the ball even if Robinson had crossed it, so he bollocks a 19 year old kid who has played a handful of games??
Suarez is not immune to criticism

Absolute bollocks. Pure and ****ing simple.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

BR is absolutely spot on that assessment.

Players swear at each other constantly. I was captain - before I got sacked - and I got told to **** off all the time after I'd bollocked someone during a game.

Likewise, in teams when I wasn't skipper, I told the captain and others to **** off - it happens.

Admittedly at the time I was swearing at Robinson too - not for swearing at Luis but for wasting a good opportunity. But him swearing at Suarez is a total non-story.
Interesting. But in all honesty, i can't say i've noticed many Premiership players doing it to team mates, and when i do see it it stands out.

I also think it gives opponents a lift to see team mates arguing or openly disagreeing.

Not something that will define our season or future, but i do like to see a team acting as one, total togetherness, and tbf, Suarez could have handled it better, a word of encouragment for Robinson, followed by some advice ....about the pass being the right ball to play.

I see it often enough, especially at the match. Players get bawled out by team mates all the time, especially by Carragher haha. It's not always as obvious as Robinson, but still.

            And Birdy should know.

Total togetherness is fine but I don't think swearing at each other undermines that - in fact I think it's healthy. As Birdman says, it encourages 11 equals on the pitch and it's better to be straight with each other than to be fearful of swearing at a more senior team mate.

its the heat of the moment sort of thing, nothing wrong with it at all if you ask me, shows a bit of passion

And did anyone notice that **** Lee Probert tell a player to **** off?

Personally it doesn't bother me - it's better to be straight with each other than have a ridiculous, headmasterly ref like Elleray and a teacher/pupil relationship. Having said that, I'm not sure how it fits in with the supposed 'Respect' campain

not they i have ever played at premier league level but im sure you have not either, if you have then great, but no i have not played at anything like that top level. However i have played for a team in the blue square league, not that this has anything to do with it, and no im not saying suarez is perfect, but you dont have an attitude like jack did in a match like last night, we needed to be a team and have that collective spirit, that fact that this has happend needs to be looked at by rodgers.

Robinson needs to wake up, like rodgers said today the attitude was poor and really if you do that you will not be playing at LFC for long!!!

Suarez is not blameless i know that but as a 19 year old comimng into the team you need to screw your loaf and get your head down and go about your game, this hedid not do,

If Rodgers wants to adhere to the Barcelona philosophy then he should take note that Yaye Toure and Seydou Keita were huge helps to them in their infancy, and even now Busquets is two inches taller than any of our midfielders. We need that physical presence in the middle and a player like Diame is available for £3.5m who would be perfect.

****ing great post i think the same, Busquets, Yaye Toure are the better top end examples of the functions and what a player can do for the team.

i agree that for that outlay it could be worth it, wages might be a problem? but there was moussa sissoko also? we didnt fancy him otherwise is he really going to the barcodes over us, not a chance!!!!

                          Rodgers on transfer latest

Brendan Rodgers today insisted he was hopeful of making additions to his Liverpool squad before the transfer window shuts on Thursday night.

The manager said he felt Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Oldham highlighted the need for further depth to be added to the set-up.

Speaking at his pre-Arsenal press conference, Rodgers said: "Yesterday highlighted that when we do change the team around, we don't quite have that bit of depth yet.

"It was another marker in the fact that we want to develop and improve the group, and that's something that I'm sure we'll do over the coming windows.

"There's no number on it but we'll see what we can do before Thursday. If we don't get everything done that we would want - which we won't do, that's the reality - I have always said that it's going to take a few windows for us to get the squad competitive.

"If we can add another player, if not more, then great. If not, we'll look in the summer to keep the building process going."

Meanwhile, asked about the possibility of the Uruguayan defender Sebastian Coates leaving the club on loan, the manager said: "We haven't had any approaches. There's obviously lots of speculation and lots of rumours but so far we haven't had anything through from any club.

"I have said in the last couple of weeks that he is a player who I believe needs games and needs to go and play but obviously, I need to protect the club as well in relation to the size of the group.

"Everyone knows how small we are as a squad. It might be the best thing for Seba to go on loan, but it might not necessarily be the best thing for the club.

"There's still a few more days to go, so we'll assess that and take it from there."

Liverpool have been linked with Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho and when questioned about the Brazilian, the manager replied: "There's nothing to report.

"There's no-one signed yet. Whenever we do sign someone, I will let you know.

"There has been talk between the clubs but that is about it. There's nothing to report."
