I presume that is for this season? If so then not really a surprise as none of the six managers above him in the PL are British so Brenden as manager of the 7th placed team would have to be the highest placed of the Irish or British managers.

EDIT: Then again if it was for this season then Redknapp could not be second so must be for Rodgers' time at Swansea and Liverpool
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

It was on MOTD tonight. I assume it is overall. Nice to see though.

Definately, I'll eat my words to an extent. I do however feel that he was almost forced to play the players he is. Lovren, Johnson and Allen all had to be injured so others could come in so it's not like he decided to drop the players. But even though it took him half the season to figure out his team, and it cost us the CL as well this season and maybe next, he has done well since christmas at least.
        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

That is a really difficult run of games in the league, 4 games against the sides around/above us and the derby. Also it is 2 games a week for the next 5 weeks. We need to get our preparations right and use the squad wisely.

Done well to change things round of late but I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of Johnson and Allen come straight back in when available, so I'll reserve judgement for now.

I think a big difference is going back on to the same schedule as others. Now the League Cup is back and Europe soon, we'll be facing fresher teams and we will have to juggle the squad. Back in the summer we spread the money around to bulk the squad out. Hopefully we will see the benefits of that now we have a few players hitting form that until recently were struggling.

I'm most looking forward to Tuesday. I'm really keen to see if this team can cope with a top class side. Would give me hope going forwards in the League & Europe. Arguably, if we hit form we are a champions league quality side and would be in with a good shout of success in the Europa.

Crucial period coming up, our own fixtures are tough and those we aim to be ahead of have a handier run.

Well I have been given an answer. On form we can match anyone.

Still have a very difficult run though so let's see where we are at the end of it.

Seems like our players really believe in what he is doing, and the comments from Gerrard wishing he met him 10 years ago make you realise how much respect there is for him amongst the squad. The defensive side of our game has improved and we are showing much more fluency in attack. The new signings are starting to understand how we play. He was constantly saying how it would take time to get to this level and he was right. Definite signs of progress now.
