Thats not my job is it? Hummels, Badstuber are both younger and on the way up, and I'd say Kompany and Vidic are both actually better defenders.

If we're now a side that needs to balance its books, we need to be more ruthless, and players who are still commanding a top price but not playing at their peak need to be moved on with someone hungrier and on the way up. I knew this would'nt be popular, but imo its what needs to be done.

Fair enough if you Agger's peaked, I completely disagree and think he has his best years ahead of him. He's easily in the Top 5 centrebacks in the world for me. He'd improve any team.

Skrtel for me, isn't irreplacable...if an offer of 15m+ came in, I think we should consider it, but ONLY if we bring a better player in, which for me is someone like Hummels or Subotic.

Disagree mate. I like him - don't get me wrong - but they're very similar in what they do: keep it ticking over, continuity types, knitting things together, able to retain possession in tight spaces etc. Thing is Allen will improve.

Fair enough but I disagree on the critical point about Allen. Don't think he will improve to a level this club needs. Simply not good enough in every single aspect of his play at this level. Harsh I know but he has shown nothing in the past 4 months to change my opinion, rather his performances reinforce it.

The rest of the post is horse**** - you don't sell your best players. Have you paid ANY attention to Arsenal? Selling their best players and replacing them with "young, hungry players" has worked out amazingly hasn't it?

I mean look at all the shining trophies they... oh... that's right... they're not much better than we are at the moment and have won considerably less.

Teams are built on stability. Selling players, regardless of monitary worth, is counter productive in the long-term and that's what Rodgers is trying to plan - the long term health of Liverpool. Agger is a huge part of that over the next 4-5 years.

The thing I find ridiculous is the utter knee-jerking that goes on here. One minute one of our players could be one of the best in Europe, the next he is the worst. The same goes with the manager.

Lost all sense of patience, time and perspective and some just seem to gloat when we lose a game, refuse to see any signs of progress, go on some rant about how this player is ****e and the manager is useless but then qualify it by saying "I don't want the manager sacked". I'd be happy getting shot of Skrtel and bringing in some like Hummels to play alongside Agger, but if we don't have enough money for that I'd like to see a new younger up and coming pairing, the future, that is all.

Agger is at least on a par with the Kompany's of this world. He's head and shoulders above Vidic, Ferdinand, Terry and Cahill... Skrtel is bang average.

Maybe add a little bit of perspective to your rants. Bad result, bad performance, utterly unacceptable attitude of many players and the likes of Sturridge and Suarez were also disappointing. Downing did nothing when he came on except cut inside and hit every cross nearly against first man. I don't think Allen was the stand out rubbish player. I don't think we were set out overly open either. All 3 goals were avoidable if the individuals involved had ****ing jumped for the ball and headed it

That's utters horse**** too though isn't it. The expectancy of fans like you is ridiculous. Why should the likes of arsenal and liverpool expect to win things when we're competing with squads that have cost £300m? Arsenal have qualified for the champions league every season, that's success in line with their expenditure. We should really be a top 6 side, and should be fighting for 4th place with spurs and arsenal, no more. Kenny took us to 2 cup finals last season, , and last night we were knocked out of the fa cup by a team at the bottom of league 1, conceding 3 goals. It's not progress, its piss poor. Suarez probably cost more than their entire squad. Rogers can't even get his side to defend against that.

Blast shot or cross against defender regardless of his proximity and other options and hope for the best.
