Don't listen to them, its quite easy to avoid, I haven't heard one for months. Brendans made a silly mistake again today and reading the last page the knives are out again how fickle are we.
He is young and making mistakes. This is his first big job and its clear he is handling this Gerrard situation all wrong hope he learns from this. Must be so hard Gerrard has been the go to guy for this club for the last 10 years, And who can blame Rodgers for thinking he can squeeze a little bit more about of him, Its sad but going to the MLS could be the best for all parties becuase sadly this club is better of without him now

I remember Gullit benching Shearer when he was no longer suited to his system. Think Gullit was sacked within a week. Clearly the managing of a legend is a tricky business. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just being daft.
Don't think Gerrard was the reason we lost anyway. More him playing with Lucas not helping.Forwards.......

It's funny, whenever I play Fifa I bench Gerrard and he doesn't even make the second XI. He's just too slow on there to be worthwhile. But this isn't Fifa and it's just a shame that he doesn't really slot into any role in our team. For him to work we'd have to drop Lucas, who tbh is in better form.
Sounds crazy as it means far inferior players to Gerrard would start ahead of him. Even Joe Allen who is loved so much by everyone..... But Rodgers tactics work best with young & hungry players. For me we need a good overhaul in the summer. I'd be getting rid of lucas as well as the departing Gerrard.Forwards.......

Are there people here who really change their stance on the manager after each game?! I said after the Burnley game that I was done with Rodgers, I think his luck has run out. The Swansea performance was great and I really hope that we see many more games like that this season. I sense that there's something not right, maybe now that Gerrard is leaving things will change. I honestly don't see BR being here beyond this season. I wasn't his biggest supporter at first, but he won me over and even up until recently I felt that he was the right man for the job. It worries me that he seems incapable of fixing glaringly obvious deficiencies- a top coach would have improved the defence, but we seem to be getting worse. It's no surprise that we're scoring less goals without Suarez and Sturridge, so the obvious thing would have been to tighten up the defence. We're shambolic in that area. I'm not going to call for Rodger's head, but I won't be too upset to see him go.

Yesterday again for me highlights the issues with Rogers he had a winning team and he decided because he lacks the bottle and is far too in awe of Gerrard to shoehorn him into the team. This upset the balance as Henderson was pushed out to RWB after playing so well in a central role.
Ultimately I think Rogers and Gerrard will both be leaving in the summer."All I'll ever do is all I've ever done in any job, and that's promise to fight for my life for the supporters and the people of the city"

****ing hell, that'd be a big move in comfirming us a midtable club.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostI agree DannyMan2006.
I think Delph is being targeted as Lucas' replacement. It's up to the committee (hopefully a revamped one), to bring in a new central midfielder to replace Gerrard.

I refuse to believe that Delph would be anything but a squaddie. Surely the owners realise that when you lose icons - like Suarez and now Gerrard, they have to be replaced, otherwise they might as well just ****ing not bother.Originally posted by Mattshark View Post****ing hell, that'd be a big move in comfirming us a midtable club.
