I didn't want to jinx us but I'm happy now to come out and say that I was wrong to want Rodgers gone as he's turned things around quite unbelievably to be honest. I think it's easy for some to forget how bad we were first 4 months of the season.

BUT I think it's fair to say that he changed things around maybe 2 months later than he should have and also the injuries to Johnson and Lovren as well as dropping Mignolet (again a little too late) have had a a helping hand. Most of all though, the man, the legend that is Lucas Leiva has come in and given some intelligence to that midfield. I mentioned it 100 times during our bad spell but we really lacked a calm footballing brain.

So all in all, I'm really happy the Brendan is still at the helm and I only see positive things for us in the future but I also think Lucas should be given just as many plaudits for his unselfish and selfless approach to the game even though he was not one Rodgers' favourites.

    Good times.

I don't think I've ever seen a team play with this square midfield thing that we have going on, and it's working brilliantly for us.

In any case it shows up the nonsense of those who tried to claim Rodgers knows nothing and just tried to copy Barca.
I think this is where Rodgers is tactically brilliant, how he (well eventually!) adapts a formation to his available players' strengths. Skrtel doesn't quite fit in a back four which demands that he excels on the ball, for example. He is, however, imperious as the sweeper in our back three.
I wear my heart on my profile name.

        Agree with everything there.

Had results and performances carried on in December like they had in November the pressure on Rodgers and FSG would have been too much and he would have been gone before Christmas imo

When the team and formation for the United game was released I thought he had lost his mind... but 3-4-3 has turned out to be a stroke of genius although we still lost that day.

That formation never even crossed my mind as a strategy to try but all the credit in the world to Rodgers for stumbling on this solution to our acute striker problem

Now Sturridge is back we still have 2 trophies to aim for as well as 4th in the league. The future looks bright right now

Since we're in a confessing mood, I was wrong to suggest we sold Lucas if the bid was £12m+

He's worth £30m to us at the moment as that is the sort of money we'd need to replace him. I honestly hope he's schooling Can at the moment because I think we have his long term replacement, with shooting ability, in Emre

Most definitely agree with this statement!

Can in defence can watch & learn from the master that is Leiva who happens to be player of the season for me so far!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

I thought we should have cashed in on him as well, totally wrong with that assessment !

I agree with Can him and Henderson in the middle of the park could well be what we see in a couple of seasons

As long as we find a couple good defenders, I want Can to be in the middle since he's an absolute beast there.

He was lucky Allen got injured as well as Lovren so he had to change the system. It was all bollocks that Sakho was injured and the fact that he sees all his team every day in training. I still don't believe Lucas has improved over the course of the year it was Rodgers stubbornness not playing him because he deleted the picture of himself in a Liverpool kit on twitter init.
